      Demanding "More Clarity!" in LD

Several months ago I had my first lucid dream after seeing Richard Linklater's "Waking Life"(2001). The guide I had read the night before (the first guide I ever read about the subject) said that if your LD starts to fade, you can sometimes regain lucidity by demanding, out loud, "More clarity!". In this particular instance I was dreaming I was in my back yard and when something triggered lucidity, every blade of grass instantly became as clear as if I had super-human vision, and greener than any green I had ever seen. I was extremely excited, so when the vision started to fade, I yelled out (in the dream), "More clarity!" Suddenly the entire vision, instead of reverting to the previous image, became highly "pixelized" like a small mpg video had been blown up full screen or like I was seeing out of a fly's eyeball. I noticed that each tiny pixel contained the entire moving picture and realized that the dream gods were playing tricks on me--- I started to laugh so hard it woke me up!

Yeah, there are a number of things you can do for a higher level of clarity. It seems you got all the clarity you needed and more. Lol. Dreams are your own, so you can mold them in the way you wish.

One of my dreamsigns, which I recognised last night: Tantrums. I don't throw them often in dreams, but sometimes I have dreams in which I'm quite angry, and in the dream I noticed that shouting made me get my way from the DCs. Then I remembered that I would be slaughtered IRL for shouting (my sisters. Don't ask.), so I realised I was dreaming.

That's my big problem at the moment. I've had around five lucids now, and my top priority upon becoming lucid is increasing the clarity of the dream; but somehow, I always forget, and the dream becomes uncontrolled...

      @ the pixelation. (sp?)

Well when you demand more clarity in your dream, it's important, I think, to be able to visualize your world becoming more clear. Don't just tell it to happen, make it happen with your mind. If you leave the actions of your subconscious to it's own devices, you will most likely get the opposite effect of what your conscious mind is hoping for.

You have to will it to happen, not just hope it will happen.

Hehe, fun. When my dream dosen't do what I want I sometimes use the reverse psychology tricks. It does work sometimes.

I found one time that I yelled "OKAY SUBCONSCIOUS, TIME FOR MORE VIVIDNESS" or something of the like. Boom! Explosions of clarity.

I tried that in another dream and it didn't work, so speak the opposite, and clarity comes rushing in.

I think every person has their own tips and tricks, so it's best to try many different techniques to get the desired result.

99.99% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you have and you've enjoyed it, copy & paste this into your signature line. Everyone else, you're lying!
