First of all, I can't believe I never heard of this place, it's awesome.
Long ago(2 years ago) I saw a guide on inducing lucid dreams. I tried it for about 2 months and gave up on it a bit because I could not remember my dreams. About a year ago, I satrted up again with a strong interest. I have been a really slow learner at it, but I am glad to say I can remember a lot of dreams each night now. I have been really particpating in this for the last month(as in more motivated then ever) but now I have some fears.
First of all, I have been experiencing pain in my dreams, which I do not like. It has happened twice, and it makes me afraid to try things.
Last night, I was really lucid with a bit of dream control, not much but it was enough to influence things. So anyways, as I proceded into a large cave, a spider larger then myself attacked. It stuck it's fang right through my leg, and I recall immesne pain. It really wasn't what I bargained for. I woke up with a huge cramp in my leg, and as of now I can still remember the pain, throbbing like you wouldn't believe. Another past incident was when Sephiroth(from the game final fantasy 7) was chasing after me in a large mansion. Luckily he didn't have his masamune blade, but he crushed my head in a door way(rofl) and it ripped off my ear, and that was extremely painful and I didn't wake up for a long time so I had to endure it.
I thought the incident with sephiroth was a one time thing, but since last night Im scared shitless. I love dreams, I am having a lot of fun but if this happens again then I will have to dis continue it. My thinking is that I need more experience in changing my envirnments and surroundings, tonight I plan on trying the WILD method, and if it works I am going to practice as much as possible. But what suggestions would you have? Or even ebtter, what causes me to actually feel pain? What would happen if i died while I was lucid?
