      My first Lucid dreaming turned into a nightmare

      Ok last night i did my first lucid dreaming only days after i started dream recall. I noticed it was a dream due to the fact i was walking then cycling down an unknow road but remebered it from another dream i had years ago. So to the point, i gained Lucid dreaming and started to do dream spinning. So i made a beach with all my friends and we were enjoying ourselfs. After what seemed to be five seconds an unknow wall appered crushing one of my friends and it seemed like some one was controling my dream. So i made some trees to entangle the wall. I then did another dreamspin and saying to my self Your dreaming. I made a forest but some of the things i wanted wasn't there but all my friends were there to. Then another group of people came and started to chase us and kill us. I got caught but then did a dream spin. I couldn't make any more dreems so i forced my eyes opened. It turned out to be a false awakening and me taking a new pillow case off my pillow in my old room. I then woke up knowing it was a dream due to the fact my brothers alarm went off. I was ashemed in my self that i couldn't control my dream because it turned into a nightmare, icouldn't get the things i wanted plus i couldn't do another dream spin. I was woundering can i stop this from happening again and not getting nightmares?(I'm glad i didn't get to execited because befor i first did dream recall i sometimes had lucid dreaming).

      *the lights turn off and the whole room goes dark*
      Oh im fin- Ahhhhhhhh its a scary figment of my imagination.

      Mr.caramel,
      Sorry that your initial LD was a bad one.
      Although it was not my first lucid dream I had a few experiences that my LDs turned bad.
      Two things I can personally point out.
      A lot of these lucid dreaming scenes are now very amazing in nature to us, more over if we become conscious during them. So it happens that we become afraid at times during such a surreal event. This likely manifest itself and becomes worse. Similar to the human psyche when your not dreaming. You conscious mind is your conscious mind and will act accordingly.
      To reassure yourself that this is ONLY a dream and you cannot be harmed is a good way to calm yourself and restore some order and confidence in your mind.

      On a positive note you seemed to have administered a lot of control of your lucidity for your first one!

      After reading that and other topics on this forum i feel a bit more confident and im sure i shall reclaim my mind.
      I also think i was thinking i would control the whole dream but didn'tand that was what got my hopes down but i'll be more confident but more aware that it wont always go my way.
      I am know on a mission to create a companion along the way to keep me in check and to tell me its your mind, its your dream and you,yes you, can contral it for its your mind and only you can control it(unless something divine up there is doing something then no).
      I've got my companion all figured out and i know i'll be able to creat him.(He will be a tiger with big humming bird wings and i shall call him kyrowge. I think i will be a great contrast as a tiger can mean dominance and the wings of the humming bird can mean colour plus I've all ways felt that humming birds make me happy.)
