      My experiences

I've had thousands of dreams with endless experiences. I'm interested to know which experiences I have in common with other people.

Onething in particular I've noticed is that when I'm stabbed or hurt I wont always feel it but will feel the object inside me, sometimes though I do feel pain. Has anyone ever felt pain in a dream?

Has anyone ever become aware in a dream and started asking people strange questions? Once in a dream I realised that it was a dream and decided to look at a watch to see what time it would show out of curiosity, another time I was in a pub and I started interogating people asking them how they were being generated, how could I access the superior visual memory I have in my sleep when I'm awake, where were they in my mind, etc. I usually don't get much of an answer.

One of the most interesting kind of dreams is the kind you can't get out of. I had one dream that I could glide like knuckles in sonic the hedgehog and stick to walls. But before that I was on the campus without my trousers in a shadowy row of evergreen trees on a ridge by the road, some stuff happened, and I eventually started gliding accross the student village into the woods that lead down the hill. I was gliding like this because I had just played sonic the hedge hog adventure 2, realised it was a dream and felt like indulging in some gliding. Then suddenly I found myself in my bed just after enjoying being able to fly through the branches swaying, avoiding, weightlessness... I thought to myself damn I was enjoying that dream, got up and did some stuff. I went into my friends room. There was another group of friends in there that we both knew. One of the guys I saw and recognised and said hello too. Then he told me that wasn't his name so I looked at his face again and it was the face of someone with a similar beard. Then the guy who I mistook the other guy for came in, who I said hello to, then he said what, who? And his face was someone elses as well! This happened a few times then I found myself in my bed again thinking that was weird. I went to my friend' room again to tell him about the dream, I started telling him, but as soon as I did reality started breaking down and I found myself in my bed again! This happened over and over, some of the times I was almost parallysed and had very little energy as if I had been drugged or sedated.

In several dreams I have taken drugs. In one I had some mystery herb which I decided I would take to a party and experiment with. The moment I took it the dream changed into something else. This happened several times in the dream which was also very erotic. I've had three dreams where instead of thinking I was dreaming, I thought I was on drugs. The first was where I live now. The dream as very realistic and there was nothing unusual about it at first. I was walking through the corridor and saw a pile of wood by the stairs. I walked around some more, did some stuff, then later one when I passed the wood I noticed it was on fire! In disbelieve I stared at it, then founding myself convinced ran to find a fire extinguisher. I found one, returned but the wood was not on fire! This left me feeling so relieved that I didn't have allot of time to think about the rediculous nature of what I'd just seen. At some point I passed it again and itwas on fire again. This time I went to find someone because I could not trust my senses. By the time I did and brought them back it was just a pile of wood again. I told the other person that I might be tripping, but I don't remember taking anything so I may have been poisoned. A few people gathered to see what the disturbance was about, which I began to explain when the wood burst into intense flame which began spreading accross the walls. At this point I figured it was a dream and woke up. An earlier one started in my old home. I needed to go toilet so I went. I was upstairs so I used the bathroom with toilet. I took a dump, wipe my ass, then washed my hands. As I was drying my hands I spotted a girl behind me. I could only see her hea and part of her shoulder. She was wet and shadowy, standing still behind me. I didn't move for a little while and just stared thinking what the fuck, as I had locked the door. After a while my thoughts came to a consensus. I had not yet looked back, and decided to touch her first with my hand to see if she was real using the mirror to guide. The moment I touched her I found myself on the floor, just behind where I was standing with my eyes closed (assuming I blacked out). Same room, different position. I got up, and the first action was to look in the mirror to see if she was still there, but when I looked in the mirror, instead of me having my face I had hers, and I was not there. I ran down stairs and told my mother I was tripping really hard. Then I took another dump using the downstairs loo instead and woke up. The most recent one that I remember was two days ago. In the dream I was woken up by a knock on the door. I went to it and it was a really hot girl that I'm in love with but never get to see. The moment I saw her, I was struck by euphoria and weightlessness. I also completely relaxed. I could not budge a muscle and found my self gently floating to the floor landing in a bundle of fluffy static. Then I started giggling uncontrollable, but it didn't feel like I was giggling, it felt like the giggles where flowing through me, as if I hat to put no effort into motor control and only felt the feedback. Then I woke up

What kind of flying experiences do others have in their dreams? I find that most of the time when I fly it is if the atmosphere is thicker, and I can kind of flap or swim to go higher. but in different dreams it gets thinner a different altitudes. Usually it's only me that can fly but there have been others. Although this is the most dominant system of flying, the altitude and effectiveness of position/pushes almost always changes but I usually innately understand. Three of my favorite flying dreams are: One where I had a little pedal (like a bike haha) plane which you could buy in kits (there were practically just selling sets containing a bike and a few dozen kites hahahahaha), and I then pedaled over the country side and had some battles etc... Another one I had a hand glider in a hurricane and was flying for miles. The best part was when the wind took me over a city and I had to fly between huge towerblocks. In another I found myself in a runaway helicopter that I couldn't control properly. It flew over London and I had to avoid masses of AA artillery, machine guns, missiles, etc because they thought it was terrorists! I've had a few jumping dreams. In one I was the same kind of thing Jack the Ripper is supposed to be according to myth but in the future in a heavily over populated populated city being changed by super cops on hoverboards.

In the erotic drug dream, before I went to the party I was in a boat, which I got in to escape from a huge battle between the English and the French, which I got to after coming from space where there were some very strange asteroids, after finding the side of a cliff in a desert with a rocket (which amusingly had a car number plate on it) ship, after being thrown into some kind of inter-temporal energy sphere when trying to survive on a large space ship that was being invaded by aliens (from the film alien and yes it is terrorifying being against real ones but they are not unstoppable). Anyway I got away from this batle by getting into a tiny rowing boat that was by the side of an estuary and rowing up where I found a chinese village in the middle of the river with the water instead of road! Almost all of the building were empty except one. Anyway basically, there was a chinese girl inside, seemed very willing for sex, so I screwed her, ejactulated inside her, etc. I took her in my boat and she took me to her parents haha to meet them. It was strange as if it was only her and her parents in the village, the only survivors, it was very quite and peaceful, a little spooky. Anyway lots of other things happened in that dream, there was a sunken boat in a London modern east end Canal that I was investigating. There was a body inside it, etc and a ghost. The ghost took me back in time to watch the boats destruction and her demise. Anyway I was nothing more than an eye. I could see a man doing a tied and gagged woman from behind. He came to climax and came in her, I could see through her and from inside her womb, everything that was happening, then the sperm suddening started expanding, the man stumbed back and was bombarded with burst of a substance that was much more like milk now than semen. More of it kept gushing out faster and faster, sinking the boat very quickly and drowning her and the man. When I woke up I'd found that I had ejaculated. I'm not sure which one was responsible, I think it was the tight Chinese girl. I find this interesting because I always assumed that wet dreams just happened and were not ssociated with dreams containing the same physical routine. I'm also, very relieved that when I go toilet in a dream, I don't in real life, I find myself using the toilet allot in dreams.

I've had allot of naked dreams and dreams where I can't find a toilet or I can't lock the door on the toilet and people are trying to come in. One dream in particular, I needed to go toilet in a toilet museum, only I could not find the real toilet. The frustration was intense yet highly amusing. I was in a labyrinth of hundreds toilets. Eventually I thought I found the real toilet, started using it, when some shutters opened in the middle of wiping and me holding a tissue smeared with feces revealing to me a huge crowd, being shown around by a guide. I remember there was a woman with her hand on a push chair and two kids, one holding a sandwich with a bite in it, and they were just stairing with thei mouths open, even the baby and the one with the sandwich and a load of chew up mush which just rolled out after about five seconds of complete stillness!

I'm a huge fan of computer game dreams and especially the interface. It's very strange. In one dream before some exams after I had been studying I found myself studying a really intense manual for a computer game. Then I went and took the exam for it The interface popped up on the screen, then began to occupy my entire field of vision! I found myself in a rediculous dungeon with all sorts of silly demons and hell monsters. There were traps, puzzles, and my favorite was an enemy unit that was basicaly a giant aninmated, angry chess piece (knight) which I managed to get passed by throwing a giant carrot far away to one side. In none of the computer hand dreams fo I have a controller. There is no sreen I can see the world and the cursor in it if it has one which I move with my mind. It's the most amazing experience to have no body and just control everything with your mind but also be able to take over or possess your units an control them more directly. Some of the computer game dreams I've had have such a strange ystem of control and interface that they are impossible to explain. Some even are stuck at some graphics quality, the walls will just me like crappy solid thin polygons. Sometimes the quality will be insane. I never have hands of a control pade in any of my computer game dreams. It takes away all that crap like hands that get between and slow things down has a number of psychological control mechanisms.

I quite like the quality of some dreams. What I hate is the amnesia. Sometims when I realise it's a dream I will look at something and just awe at the visual quality. I do this because I have no artistic ability at all. I cannot draw anything other than scibble. I have the drawing talent of a 6 year old. Yet in my dreams I look at the graphics quality which appear outside and detached but are really internally generated and just wonder how, it even surpasses my imaginations ability several hundred times. I really like some of th enviroments my mind can produce. Space, country side with just hills and heights and endless amazing views. The cliffs and varied terains are the best, all extremely exagerrated and huge. Cities and highrises, downs, the insides of buildings... there are things that would oblitorate the confidence of picasso, any landscape gardener or architech, God, etc.

Allot of times when I've slept and been hungry or thirsty I have drempt about it. In one dream in particular, I found myself on an above ground tube train platform in London. I had a bag of luggage. I was really thristy and found a can of coke in the bag hich I somehow knew would be there. I took it out and put it beside me and started looking through the bag for other stuff. I didn't find anythng interesting and went to open the can of coke but it was already opened. I wondered did I make it open just by thinking about it, or did I have amnesia? I figured out it was a dream. So knowing it was a dream I decided why wait around for the train, I can do whatever I like, decided that there would be a snack store at the entrance of the tube station and that I'd have money and there was because I wanted it. I then spent ages buying sweets and snacks. This store was tiny but had all the tasty things you could imagine. After ages of picking I realised wait a minute, this is a dream, if I spend all my time picking I might wake up before I finish it! Anyway I went outside and started eating the tastiest cherry pie ever. I only got to eat that pie. As I was eating it I kept fading between wake and sleep, trying to stay in the dream. It was particular strange because there was a brief period where I felt as if I was maintaining the state of mind, and could slip in and out of the dream world and wake. I could for a little while, I could fade my vision from the dream to my ceiling, back to my dream again, it also faded to my body etc. I couldn't maintain it and woke up in the middle of searching my bag for another goody. I was trying to find the best thing rther than the first thing I found and woke up.

Dreams for me are more entertaining than TV...

Also I don't really understand how anyone can have a nightmare.

I have been looking through lucid experiences and found this thread. I hate that you wrote all of that and no one replied. Those are some good questions and interesting stories.

Unfortunately I cannot answer them. I just found this place about a week ago and got interested in lucid dreaming so I haven't actually experienced a real one yet. Though hopefully tonight I'll have one. Here's my plan:

I will go to bed early at 10 pm and take 200mg of B6 before going to bed.
I will set my alarm clock to 4 am (six hours later) and then I will stay awake for ten to thirty minutes.
During that time I will go over my list of things to do while lucid that I printed out (in red ink because we ran out of black). And I will look over my dream journal. I started the dream journal before I knew about lucid dreaming but sadly it only has one dream written down because since I started it, my dreams were to un-vivid to remember.
After that I will take one more B6 pill (100mg). I know that 300 mg in one day isn't good for your body, but I am desperate to LD tonight.
Then I will try WILDing by staying awake in bed and trying to go into an REM/dream sequence while staying conscious (that's how you WILD, right?).

Hopefully that will get me into a dream where I can try a RC and go do stuff.

My main goal is to contact my dream guide and get him/her to make me conscious every night in every dream.

      Eh, wish me luck...

I've had a bunch of dreams too where I'm on drugs. Typically, I'll have decided to take some sort of drug and just as I start really tripping hard, I'll realize that I'm supposed to be doing something that obviously requires sobriety, such as going out somewhere with my mother, or taking an important exam, or going to work. It's really stressful. Also, I'll sometimes dream that I've taken some drug when I've actually made plans to do so in waking life.. Guess that's when it's on my mind.

For those who can feel pain in their dreams, nightmares can be quite logical if you are at loss of your usual lucid abilities.
      I can because I know I can.

Actually it didn't turn out that good at all.

I went to bed at about 10:30 after reading and posting on this forum and I took the two 100mg B6 pills. Unfortunately I didn't fall asleep until around 3:00 am. No matter how hard I concentrated I couldn't fall asleep. I tried sleeping in many different positions but none of them worked. So I was laying in this hot room for five hours trying to concentrate on sleep and then I somehow finally fell asleep.

I think the reason I couldn't sleep is because I'm so used to going to bed at 2 am because it's the summer.

And before I fell asleep I knew that waking up at four would only give me one hour of sleep so I set the alarm to 6 am.

The alarm never went off. But fortunately my parents left at around 6:30 to go somewhere and when they left my dog started barking a lot and that woke me up. So I got up and got a drink of water. Then I went back to bed trying to stay awake and trying to keep my mind centered on lucid dreaming. Well I never went into a dream and just stayed up in bed. So I gave up and just wanted to sleep so I could dream and hopefully become conscious in my dream. It took me a while to fall asleep again and I do remember one dream a little but I didn't realize I was dreaming.

So still no lucid dreams. But when I do finally lucid dream I will try hard to talk to my dream guide and get him/her to help me. Maybe I'm just too impatient. I think that's why I could never relax enough to astral project back when I was into trying that. Any suggestions?

      To evil joe
Sorry to say,Impatience is the main barrier in those things, you have to focus your energy at being calm.Imagine if you were to concentrate all that "want to, have to" into "relax, calm" you'd fly off the earth lolll

Just empty your mind, see yourself between paralel nets with your problems and toughts stuck in it and you're in the middle floating foward avoiding those bits and pieces trying to reach you, some of them will succede but throw them away stay focused in between the nets till you get out and see only void, no toughts just black.
Then concentrate on your goal, not a phrase just a word ( i say "jump" cause i know i will itch to jump in whatever dream i'm in and that's what triggers me into knowing that i'm dreaming when i jump 20 ft high lol)
It doesn't work every time,it's a long process, you have to put your mind into it, train it. I think it's a lot due to auto suggestion if you want to really control, otherwise it will happend random cause you think a lot about it.
Everything looks much better from up there

You seem to be coming to Lucid Dreaming as a Materialist.

Have you considered bolstering your Spiritual Credentials somewhat.

Materialism is good enough for the sidewalks and alleyways of Lucid Dreaming. But the Super Highway is through Spirituality.
