Just tell yourself it's a dream and know you can do anything you want, and try to enjoy the experience instead of dread it. |

''It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
For the most part it does sound like a lack of control, as you've said. An important thing to remember is that when you realize that you are dreaming, you are in charge. If you want, just freeze everything until you can figure out what you want to do. What'd I'd advise, though, is formulate a plan when you are awake for what you will do when you become lucid. Decide ahead of time so that you're prepared and you can act rather than have the time to become afraid of what might happen. Loose thoughts and fears tend to grow if they're not kept in check. |
