First LD and I could control alot.

Yep. I havn't even been doing reality checks or writing down my dreams in my journal for like 2 weeks then in my dream something jigged me to ask am I dreaming, then I saw myself in a camera and for some reason that made me believe i was. then i was just like I had a feeling of being able to do anything, not like oh, It's just a dream. First I kicked myself up in the air and floated around a bit, then went into a store. I was going to be rational and just shop but then I just started grabbing like everything screaming, "It doesn't matter anyways, it's a dream!". hah. After that I was being chased by dream cops but then I just turned the scenary into a beach. Then I was lonely and I wanted to conjour up someone. So I put a napkin to my lips and imagined it being a boy and viola, and it was a cute boy too, Jake gyllanhaal (sp?) mhmmm. lol but all i did was kiss him then it got blurry so then I was at my house. Then a DC (I guess my dreamhouse roommate...) was going to show me something in the house so I was like okayy, then I went down the hall with her and saw like this dancing room that was so amazing. it had bright shiny hardwood floors and i design that was pink and black on the walls I can just remember it soo perfectly. Then I just remember thinking omgg this is so amazing and being really happy then I woke up.

It felt short though, like I had so many things I wanted to do. Hopefully I will LD again soon. or maybe I have I just havn't rememebered it since I havn't been writing dreams down. I think I'll start doing it again.

well done with your first LD! Quite impressive, and you'll find the first few LDs often happen without dream journals or RCs, as these are like many induction techniques, some work for some, some don't. I found for the first LD i had quite a lot of control, as i was very enthusiastic to begin with, but i it took ages to gain that same control again, however, u did manage to do an awful lot for a first LD, maybe you just have a knack, and will find it easy, but i suggest keeping up the effort, and you'll have loads of success. Also, just as a subnote, you can often control more if you intend to be able to do something in a LD

okaaay, I was very wrong. So last night, I had another LD and once I realized I was dreaming I floated to the ceiling and that was about it. It's like I didn't try and do anything. Almost like I just stopped dreaming. Then I had like 3 false awakenings but almost all the times I realized I was dreaming again. But those times I didn't even start floating, I just very calmly held my fingers on my nose and was able to breathe so I told myself, "Okay, I'm dreaming." It was sooo unexciting. :/ I guess I should be happy that I had 2 LD's in a row for the first time I ever had any and that I realized I was dreaming like 3 times but, If the ride during the LD isn't fun then what's the point? Maybe since I was so dissapointed about not being happy about the dream maybe next time I'll get excited. Does this happen alot the first time for people?

I had a very similar experience after my first LD, which was really cool, but in my second and third...and maybe even fourth LD, i'd never manage to stablize, or do anything of any suggnificants, but i can tell you that LDs are like normal days, some are fun and exciting, some less so, but you'll find with the more LDs you have, the better experiences you'll have, and the better you'll be able to control and get the most out of dreams!

Woah, this wasn't how I thought it would be like to have a LD. I thought you could like, control everything. But it's like an ordinary dream just that you can choose some things yourself.

You can control everything, after you've had some practice. Once you've convinced yourself that everything you're seeing (in your dream) is being created by your own mind, then the next step is learning to control all those things. Initially, it's easiest to control your own actions, like being able to fly, but eventually you can learn to change your environment, summon people or things that you want to appear in your dream, and just about anything else you can imagine. Just stick with it, and you'll get there.
