      Times of false reality?

Well, I call it a lucid dream, however I was not aware that I was dreaming. I mean to say that I could do everyday things; a false awakening I guess. Anyways, I went through an entire "day" in my dream world thinking it was reality, complete with going back to bed at night. One can imagine my surprise when I really wake up in the real world, thinking all of the previous "day" had occured. If time in the dream world is not proportional to that of the real world, what if someone were to dream a week, or a month? It boggles my mind to think that I might wake up 7 years ago, and everything that has "happened" never really did. This could either be a blessing or a curse, that one would have to redo and realign in the real time, but could go back and make sure to do things properly... but even then, it was a dream, so I guess the life one would relive would be totally different. God, I hope that doesn't happen to me again... it might save me a lot of lost pondering time.

My problem with that is, is that I try to put my finger in my arm about every hour, just to get a habit... In a dream, I can never remember to do a RC. If someone has a sure-fire way to remember, then my praise to them.

If you are not aware you are dreaming then it is not a lucid dream. Control and awareness are different. Just to let you know. Anyways, are you sure that you actually didn't go through a day, you could have just fallen deep asleep and when you woke up thought it was a dream. A wierd theory but I like looking at the other side of things.

I've only started poking myself in the arm since last week when I found this place, since before then I was just using my own techniques. Maybe, just maybe, I'll remember and poke my finger right through my arm in a dream. Thanks for the help.

Also, methinks since I'm spaced out most of the day, I see the strangest things and question it. I'm making it a point to be more alert, but not question reality, because I think I might be one easily prone to schizophrenia. It was while I talked to my doctor about if I had migraines or not. Long story short, he said I have 'brilliant madness', which means I'm smart, but I'm prone to do really weird things, such as multiple personalities and the like.
