      Lucid Dreaming Side Effect

up until about 2 months ago I had no idea what lucid dreaming even was. I began using a subconscious programming system for life enhancement and it appears to do what its suppose to do but has also seemed to give me the ability to sometimes become aware towards the end of dreams.

Recently, Ill be dreaming as normal, then somthing crazy will happen and I'll say to myself "hey, this is a dream" from there I can usually begin to take control but then I'll abruptly awaken. This is very exciting and new for me and I want to take some time and research all the techniques, but is it possible to stay in a dream if you become aware of it in the manner that is happening to me?

Yes, you can become aware of a dream in the manner you describe and keep it going. The labeled technique is DILD or Dream Induced Lucid Dream where one becomes aware of a dream during a dream. There is lots of info on how to stabilize a dream and plenty of other methods to try and adapt to your needs. Just read around, welcome to the board

Just a footnote on what was just said, experience is often the best stabilization, often the stabilization techniques don't work to start off with, many bring LDs to an abrupt end. After a few LDs you'll find it easy to keep your LDs going, but you have to be patient, don't become over excited, and don't be brought down if you find you can't keep LDs going at the moment, you will in time

Yes, you can get control from this kind of dream. All my lucid dreams have been DILDs in one form or another, varying between totally random, RC induced, and self-suggestion induced. While I still haven't really gained control, every time I LD, I get closer to it. Last LD (on wednesday), I stayed semi-Lucid for 30 seconds, instead of waking up almost instantly like in other LDs I've had. What you need to do is to remember to stabilize (which I never do), and then find the technique that works best. Stabilizing may at first wake you up, but if you continue trying, then eventually it will succeed, just like when you RC repeatedly it eventualy helps.
