      My Journey So Far

So far I've been no good with the lucid dreaming, I'm not yet catching the signs so I can become lucid (I have to get better at the RCs) I've made a few attempts at astral projections. In those attempts I tried to focus, got real tired, next thing you know I'm doing a very quick dream and like a jolt (like a quick shock running trhough me) I'm waking up in a rush a few minutes later believing I had failed.

I don't know if I'm jolting out of my sleep b/c I was so intent on staying awake that when I realize I'm dreaming and must have fallen asleep I'm immediately reacting in a harsh jolt to get up or what. The dream (or whatever it is) comes so quick, I'll see something for a sec and BAM I'm jumping out of my bed after a rush and jolt.

I will be trying again tonight to see what happens. I'll keep you all posted on my journey as I try and try and try again.

Alright folks, I would like to assume that I had my first lucid dream (a DILD)! For the first time (since I've been practicing RCs) I told myself in the dream that it was only a dream. At that point I gained lucidity (so I think), everything felt soooooo real I could feel it! It only lasted for some time before I went back to just dreaming and eventually woke up.

If you're wondering whether or not you were lucid, ask yourself how real things felt. If they were at least half-real, then you had a semi-lucid dream. If they were nearly perfectly real and detailed, then you had a full lucid. Even if it was only a semi-lucid, that means that full lucids are just one more step away.

Congratulations, razua. The first lucid always feels great, and it's a milestone of dreaming progress. Good luck with more progress.

Also, the only requirement for a dream to be a lucid one is that you know you're dreaming. How real the dream feels is irrelevant to lucidity; you could be completley lucid, thinking just as you do when awake, though the dream may be completley unrealistic.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.
