      Think i'm improving

Hi i've been practicing LDing for over a week now and i have just finished my exams so i have had more time to practice LD.

I'm pretty sure my dream recall has improved amazingly after starting my dream journal.

Also for the first time in my dream i actually thought "this isn't right" after seeing something unusual, then i thought am i dreaming and i think i gained a little lucidity after that because it thought of going some where and just "teleported" there.

After that i woke up. I'm not completely sure if this was Lucid but it doesn't hurt to think that it was. If it was though, it was very low lucidity

      BTW i tried a MILD.

What do you guys think, am i improving or is it all in my head and just me wishing that i am

There's no doubt you're improving! In the dream you descirbed, did you actually know you were dreaming? Because you don't have to be lucid to control the dream (i.e. teleporting). But even if you weren't lucid, you're still definitely on the right track! Well done!

That was definitely lucidity, as lucidity is defined by knowing you are dreaming. Even if you realize you are dreaming and wake up 2 seconds later, you are lucid. Congratulations on the progress. Keep up the dream journal, it is a great tool. (Penguinlord13 slaps himself for not using his DJ enough these days. Tsk, tsk, tsk penguin...) And yes I did just slap myslef. Anyways, keep it up, and you'll get more, and better LDs.

I've got a question: does thinking "I'm lucid" instead of "I'm dreaming" qualify? It's sort of dumb, but every definition of lucidity in a dream that I've found is realizing one is dreaming...

Yes, saying lucidity is knowing you are dreaming. So thinking "I'm lucid" could work just as well - whatever works best for you.

Wow you and me are very much alike. I have had a very quick lucid dream just as you described. And i am almost done exams. My dream recall has improved just as yours has. And we hav e both been doing it for about the same amount of time. Keep on pressing on. I find it encouraging that others are experiencing things sort of like I am.
