      First LD

Well after a few weeks of attempting I finally did it. I was out camping but didnt go prepared enough and I was cold all night. I was frequently waking up and I had a lot of different dreams.
In my LD I was at work. But I was too short to see into our fryers. I had to go take an order up front but I couldnt see over the counter. Someone made some kind of joke about me being short and I put my arm out and poinet all the fingers in my hand upwards and I gew to my correct height. Then I realized, I was dreaming.
I was to excited to stop and think for a second and I instantly dove over the counter and flew. But I flew right into a wall and hit the ground. I could tell it was all fading away and I yelled "lucidity times 1000!!" But it was too late and I woke up mumbling the words.
A huge step in my book. Now that I know I can accomplish it I think I'll be trying a lot harder.
I'm your dream, mind astray. I'm your eyes while your away.

      Congrats with the LD.

Funny that you flew right into a wall.

In my last few LD's, I had problems walking through walls. Just couldn't do it no matter how fiercely I told myself I could. Once, I was certain that I had complete control of one of my dreams, I decided to just walk through my front door instead of opening it. To my suprise and embarassment, I smacked face first into the unyeilding steel door. Felt like quite the ass.

Again, congrats. Keep trying. This one was definately a huge step. Better luck next time dealing with those evil, evil walls.

I also just recently had my first LD and a similar thing happened with me. I think if you become over excited without settling yourself down, you become too aware to dream and just wake yourself up.

There's a guide for stabilising such dreams in this forum:

      Nice going

I think I just became too excited and woke myself up because I had been anticipating that moment for months. I think I'll be more calm next time scince I have accomplished it once already.

It is weird that happened. I have never lost a LD because of being to excited. Even my first LD, I was extremely exiceted. But it lasted around 10 minutes, and I only lost lucidity buecause I span and assumed id wake up (dumbass)
      LDs: approx. 51
Why sleep when you can dream?
