Thread: Light 'flashes' during FILD

Maybe just some low level hypnagogic imagery

deffinitly hypnogogic, happens to me allllll the time

I use it as an indicator that I am on the right track, use it too

I got that the few times I used FILD. It's some low level HI but it stops once you enter the dream... that means you're in the right track! keep going

Okay what do you all mean? Do you see lights?

I do see light sometime in darkness before a lucid state begins. These light appear in the distance in distint patterns as they get closer I see they are tunnels to dream places. I usually choose the one of most interest and then the dream begins.

When I see them I know my eyes are turn more upward and towards the middle of my forhead.

It this what you are talking about?

It happends to me also whenever i'm in a highly relaxed state.I call this the treshold.
It's when your dreams start to take shape usually paired with bits of loud sounds that aren't there either loll if you let it go (stay relaxed) you'll see clear pictures and further the complete dream.That's what happends when you follow your dream path awake (lucid).
That's a sure way to LD's

I do get into that state. Sometimes when I am there I will see images or as I like to explain them as dream world pass in front of me. When I like the image It stops and I just walk in. Some time I don't see them pass before me I am just appear there.

Now with these light I see I see them in the same state and they are entrances to these lucid dream world of mine. They are arrange in patterns. The lights are a goldish yellowish white and whe I see them they are in darkness. The darkness is a brownish goldish color. When I go into these dream worlds it like is I go through a tunnel of existence that you can't see the edges of this tunnel.

You know what I have notice I haven't been writing too much in dreamview until recently and it seems everyone I have had anything in common with and most posting are by men. The only people in fact I have met in person though out my life that have had experieces like mine have been men too only! Hmmmmm I have to read up on that.

Correction to my reply when I say I do get into that state I don't mean to say it is the exact state it's just that it sound a lot like what I go through too. There is no way of knowing if is really is the same state we do all go through. :-)

Oh, well, in Yoga, Spirituality, Meditation, Kundalini... all of those Traditions, there are lists of sensory anomalies that parallel spiritual development. Flashing lights, snow in one's vision, haze, hearing tinkling bells, thunder.... complete lists of perceptions that are intermmittent and shouldn't cause much of a problem.

Thanks for that information. You have given interest reading to hunt down. I have complete ignorance when it comes to yoga. I will look it up!! I never really speak of my dreams much because the people I am around think it is weird or crazy to discuss issues such as dreams.

The only individual I discuss the dreams with is my brother. (until I discovered dream views) :-) When we (brother and I) have been in the the begining of a lucid state we do hear noises. It's interesting you mention noise heard. I also feel my body tremble, vibrate. When this used to happen to me when I was a girl it used to frighten me because I thought I was going to die again like I did when i was nines years old. I had a near death experience at that age so when I had a lucid experience I would get scared and after cry. But I was nine and that time didn't have the vocabulary to express what I was experiencing. After the NDE I experience I stayed lucid on a regular basis. I am soon to display all my sketches from my lucid dreams worlds I have seen. I just need to find a place to post them for free. I would love to see what everyone see in their dreams. Most art posted I have found so far are dream influenced art.
