      Summoning your worst fears.

Have you ever tried this? I might try it in my next LD, I hear it is scary. Everything you fear comes out. For example, if you are scared of Aliens, you would get abucted. But if you batttle them, you'll not be scared of many things.

      Try it sometime.

Once I'm able to get lucid dreams and can remain in them, I plan to do that. I want to see just how much the dream world can improve the real world.

Because literally confronting your fears is a privalege few people realize they have.

I was already planning on doing this during the summer, but not until I prepare myself. I'm going to build an arena for it, or possibly just fortify my "House of Memories" and practice for a while with some lesser fears. Then I'll summon my greatest fears, and have at them.

I'm also thinking about summoning my greatest loves to help me out if I need it.

The whole thing is very exciting.

wow Leo it seems you've really changed your mind about what LDs are used for. (quote from you):

You use a Lucid Dream to throw energy balls around.

You know, if you are resigned to such failures of personal imagination and have quite given up on being able to envision any useful application for Lucid Dreaming, then perhaps you should pick up a book or two. Other people's ideas are better than no ideas at all.

So when you are sixty and they ask you what you did with your Lucid Dreaming, you will have more to say then that you throw them all away... with energy balls.
I think you just post to start fights Leo, why are you even here if all you do is tell people how stupid they are?

I have tried this, it was pretty fun, but all it taught me is that in a lucid dream I shouldn't fear anything

BBob, that type of attitude will not help the situation. It's better just to leave it as is and look forward.

I'm curious to try this for 3 reasons. A) I've not had a scary dream in a long, long time. B) I've not yet had the chance to confront any type of threat physically or mentally in an LD yet C) I dont really have any phobias, and so I'm curious what my brain will throw at me!

Sounds interesting. I guess for me it would be being locked in a pitch black room filled with spiders and zombies... On second thought, maybe I won't try this just yet

Well the thing is, when I get around to trying this I won't be looking to resolve the fear within the dream, just to figure it out.

I mean, if you were to ask me right now what my greatest fear was, or even what one of my greatest fears was, I wouldn't be able to answer. It seems like a pretty great way to find a bit of insight.

By the way, what was your greatest fear? You don't have to give me the specifics, but was it something tangible (a person, place, etc.) or was it something a bit more abstract, like an idea?
