      My first lucid dream.

Well i finally did it. After a month of trying.

      I did the WBTB method.

I was at school. And i was naked which caused me to clue into the fact that i was dreaming. I Knew it was a dream so i started to walk down the hall. I decided to take billybobs advice and focus on detail. I looked at the floor and everything was quite vivid. Not as vivid as you guys describe but i remember it being quite clear. It started to get blurry as i began thinking that i should focus on my hand to try and see the detail. Then i had a false awakening and wrote it all down.... It was only 15 seconds long or so. But hey...i had control and i was lucid.

But yeah. I'm excited for further improvement. It feels good finally succeeding after a month of effort.

Oh man, that is an excellent beginning. You have so much more still ahead of you. I'm very excited. Think of one thing you definetly want to try in your next LD, focus on it, and the next time you LD try and remember what it is you wanted to try.

When you can make connect your waking life desires and your lucid dream ability, you're in for a kick ass time.

Jared, I'm just curious on where you were at before this first LD. How was you vividness in dreams. How many dreams did you recall a night? Did you have dreams that you could control your actions, but didn't know that you were dreaming? Dreams that you thought were just not right?

Sorry for the assault of questions, I'm just trying to gauge my progress.

      Edit: Oh yeah, CONGRATS!

I had quite vivid dreams where i was aware of things that were happening. Before trying this i was at about 4 or 5 dreams a week? As far back as i can remember ive had no trouble remembering dreams. So I had quite good recall. Thanks to dream journal Im now at about 3 or 4 dreams a night. I remembered one dream before the lucid and two dreams afterwards without waking up in between. One was a false awakening. So i really think that developing my recall is what allowed me to remember this dream.

Yeah im pretty sure that i could control myself in dreams. Because i remember shifting gears because i didnt like what was happening. I have often felt in control in most of my dreams.

I don't think ive ever questioned dreams too much. I have really weird dreams that i think are normal.

      I hope that helps.
