so i am awakened around 5.20 by the sounds of Gandalf and Jako going at it. usually, they're pretty tolerant and sometimes even friendly with each other, but of course that all goes out the window in the early morning hours. eventually, nancy gets up and goes to sleep on the living room couch so she can break them up if they fight more and so i can hopefully get some more sleep before i have to get up and go to work. but i'm having trouble falling asleep again, as is usually the case if i am awake for more than just a few minutes. eventually, i glance at my alarm clock and notice it says 12 something. i think, that's weird, it should be 5 something. so i look at the clock again and it's doing the Waking Life digital clock thing. so i figure either i'm asleep or i'm just really tired and can't process my visual input very well. so i reach up and plug my nose, then take a deep breath. i'm asleep. sweet! so i get up out of bed and walk into the living room. i want to go outside, but i am naked. (normally, i don't sleep naked, but let's just say that i was too exhausted to put my pajamas back on earlier . . . ) so i look at the digital clock on the vcr and it's also doing the Waking Life thing. so i open the front door and go outside in all my nude glory and start just wandering around, looking at everything, thinking how cool dreamworld logan is. (oddly enough, the section of town i was wandering in is not actually where my house is.) throughout this whole thing, i am frequenly plugging my nose and breathing through it, because i just can't get over how cool it is that you can do that. eventually, i come upon a creek and think, wouldn't it be even cooler to breathe underwater? so i jump in. once i'm in, it turns out to be much deeper and wider than it originally seemed. i am standing up straight in about 10-15 feet of water. i am a bit worried that i won't be able to breathe since i'm underwater, but i take a deep breath anyway. of course, it works. i think about how cool it is, and i am still underwater breathing when my alarm clock goes off. bloody mornings.
