My lucid dream experiences so far [n00b].

      Good day.
I am 18 years old and had my first 'planned' lucid dream a few months back after a friend told me about the whole experience. He was a big comic book fan & told me about how he had special powers [flying etc.] in his dreams. Although, for some reason he decided to stop a couple of years back.

Unfortunately I can no longer remember the lucid dream I had, though I can confidently say it was amazing.
At this time I decided to completely stop trying to have lucid dreams, just in case it wore me out. This was a very important time for me & I needed to focus on my college work. Better safe than sorry, eh? I proved to my self that it was possible - it was on my mind all the time! [I thought my friend was winding me up] - and with this proof I was happy to wait, and 'treat' myself to lucid dreaming after my work was complete.

Anway, recently I have finished all my important work and I have lots of free time. I have researched extensively about the subject - although I have had very few experiences so far. But to be honest I am not really trying that hard.

One extremely wierd lucid dream that I had [which I can still clearly remember] was one of those dreams when you believe you have woken up, but you are still sleeping.
It seemed I was possessed and floating towards my brother [who shares the same room - don't worry, it's a large room]. I felt evil inside me. At this moment I didn't have much control. As I began to get closer to my brother, I distinctively remember the layout of my room being altered which triggered my control - and I was able to shout his name to wake him up. & then I procceeded to jump out of a large glass window [which was the flaw] to save him from myself.
It was almost as I was being tested: If I didn't control this dream it would turn into a gruesome nightmare.

After jumping out of this window, just before I hit the pavement I woke up, sweating.
      No wait..
      I didn't.

It was a trick, and I was still dreaming. I thought to myself: "Okay, waking up like that was far to.. movie like?".

This little trick fooled me over and over again. It was horrible. The experiences of me waking seemed to get more advanced and believable.. until I finally woke for real. It seemed forever.

I really want to move away from these sorts of dreams and experience enjoyable things. I blame this particular event on sleep deprivation - & I need to remember this is the first bad experience I've had.

I could talk more, but I have written far too much already for my fist post!

Thanks for reading & pleasant dreams.
