I FINALLY DID IT (very long, sorry)

Ok first off all im going to divide this experience in to two parts. Before my lucid dream and during.

Ok first off, ive been trying for pretty much a year now to have a lucid dream and have lost faith and gained it, basically up and down for me. Last night I decided I would take my dream journal seriously and actually add dream logs to it. So I went to the tutorial part of the site before going to bed and looked at the tips again.

So last night I just went to sleep knowing that I would add whatever I remember of my dreams to the journal. I did poorly at this because I had like at least 4 dreams last night and I remember only two because when my dream was over, they were so small and stupid I didn't feel like waking up to write them down and just dozed back to sleep.

Eventually I got into this HUGE dream, it was really long so I won't explain it all. Well at first I was at this cotage with my best friend, my mom and alot of people we know in real life that own the cotage. We lived around for most of the dream but then the most significant part of the dream happened. There was a HUGE like end of the world storm, tornadoes, super lightning and fast winds. During the storm, we all hid outside (?) because the winds kept us from walking back to the cotage. This is significant because, although I wasn't there, at the cotage me and my mom + friends frequent, there was a huge storm with a real tornado that ruined a car at that cotage.

Now for part two. Eventually the dream without my knowledge slipped into another one. So it starts off with me in the super mall and alot of people I know just walking around. I felt uneasy about the whole thing and somehow I guess I knowticed that I went from one dream to another and said out loud "Hey im dreaming". Everyone around me looked at me and was like "!?!?!?!" this is where I pushed it to the limit. I just kept saying it and then since it was starting to cloud up and disipate, I started spinning because I could remember the tips from the night before. Although I spinned to keep ludicity, I didn't think of using other tips to 100% confirm I was dreaming. So I started running around feeling like a million bucks and started fighting with my friend and laughing alot. He looked just like he did in real life, I couldn't believe how real it was. Then I started super jumping, I was jumping real high and I was having a blast.

Although I was jumping ultra high, I still wasn't flying, which is what I was trying to do. Im convinced that if I guaranteed I was dreaming by using other tips, like the finger through the hand and breathing while your nose is closed, I would have been able to lose the feeling of dread when I fell back down from my high jumps. This is what eventually killed my dream, I was running and jumping around the mall and I saw a glass roof. Thinking I was invincible, I jumped as hard as I could thinking I would break the glass and make it to the roof. Well it didn't work, I hit the roof and kinda stuck to it for about two seconds, and basically felt really bad, like I was really going to die when I was falling down and while falling, my sense were clouded by the fear that I didn't think of just reminding myself it wasn't real and my dream started clouding up and just disappearing while I tried to salvage it.

I woke up to the sunlight in my room and the clutter of the construction outside and as quick as I could wrote it all down frantically. I expressed my victory outloud and tried to go back to sleep...maybe it was the clutter outside or the light but somehow I was too excited to go back to sleep and just coulnd't do it.

After having a lucid dream and waking up, do you guys feel any sort of state of wakefullness and have difficulties going back to sleep?

Oh and before I finish this post I must say two things. First off, im glad I found this site and learned about a phenomenon that you can experience right in your own bed and have a lot of fun. Second of all, thank you all for the help and insight I got previously in my attempts to have a lucid dream.

YEAHHHHH I FINALLY DID IT YESSSSSssssssss

Ah cmon, no one wants to congradulate me? I guess the post was a bit long, anyways just wanted to add I had another lucid dream Sunday morning. It happened when I fell back into my dream, and I recognised it was the same so I attained ludicity and tried to fly. I was climbing the roof of this building and busting through ceilings. Before I could make it, my friend woke me up.

Wohoo!! Nice one! Don't worry about the flying thing, it'll come, and everyone seems to have the same kinda problem about only managing to jump high (except me ofcourse! ) Usually when starting LDing, you'll have them in the late morning, on the brink of waking up, so you're pretty much guaranteed to find yourself pretty awake, and energised, aswell as excited and due to this, pumped with adrenaline (aka. epinephrine, silly americans ) Congrats again, and keep up the good work!
