MPILD (melatonin pill induced lucid dream....)

Yesterday I bought my first bottle of melatoning 3mg pills and decided to try them out. I had one 30 an hours before going to sleep. I then woke up 6 hours after and stayed up 30 minutes reading Catcher in the Rye(for like the 10th time).

I then tried a WILD but was too tired so I just drifted off into slumber. I wasn't able to recall all my lucid dream, but I remember that I somehow discovered I was lucid so I asked some people how did they feel being dream characters. They didn't answer anything so I just decided to fly away. This time it felt even more real than the last couple times. Only that there was too much inertia, no I was having lots of trouble turning. I tried directing myself by making as if a was swimming and trying to turn. This wasn't working too well so I decided to do an abrupt landing and fell to the ground violently but landed kind of like Neo in Revolutions, just harder. I then shouted out "MORE CONTROL!!! HIGHEST LEVEL LUCIDITY". Things became even clearer. I then lunged back into the sky, spinning and flying at the same time(an unbelievable cool sensation) and, not being able to stop the spinning in order to fly to the house of a girl I like , I woke up. I felt that if I opened my eyes I would see the real world so I didn't, hoping to go back. This must have severly affected my ability to recall the whole dream, which sucked. Also, it might have been a false awakening....

      Nice. Flying is the best.

You like Catcher in the Rye I suppose? I read that book this year in English. I didn't think it was that great personally. It had it's highlights though.

I've got to say Melotonin mixed with the WBTB lucidity method resulted in the most amazing lucid dream of my life this morning, the level or realism was almost scary. Pity it didn't increase my level of control as well

wow, I've never thought about melotonin and lucid dreaming before. I know that it's a naturally occuring hormone secreted by the pineal gland and that it's levels in the body depend on the cycles of daylight and night. So at night the levels rise causing body temperature to drop, alertness to drop, and sleep seems more inviting. But how does this reflect on lucidity? I know that one study conducted on insomniacs concluded that after 3 weeks of melatonin treatment they reported longer, more satisfying nights of sleep and higher levels of alertness the next morning. Could this be because of lengthened REM sleep (which is what recharges us in the first place)? or is it just the fact that these insomniacs were actually getting 3 weeks of decent sleep?

if anyone can tell me how melatonin boosts lucidity, I'd sure like to know.

I've been taking melatonin for about 2 months now.
It greatly increases vividness of your dreams. To the point that you think it's absolute reality.
Amount of detail is amazing. Dreams are much more story driven.

Melatonin will not make you lucid. But it will greatly boost quality of your dreams.

Hopefully if the dream is more vivid there is a bigger chance that you will become lucid, and if you do it will also be more vivid than it would generally be
