Does anyone else put time aside to appreciate the enviroments your mind creates? Like just walking around and looking at small details. Like that book on the table or the song that you've never heard before that's playing.

I remember this one time when I became Lucid. I went outside in my backyard and made everything feel like morning. Slight dew on the grass and that fresh windless air. Bright sun and vibrant colors. I sat down under a small tree with my legs crossed and looked up at the leaves. I was trying to savor the moment of lucidity. I remember watching the leaves and their size and color slightly pulsated on their own, like the tree's heart was beating. Then I realized how beautiful everything was. And how I was chilling in what felt like a real life enviroment, that was created by my mind. That space in my mind.

I don't know, I'm just boring I guess.

I wouldn't say you were boring. Now that i've heard you describe it, I think i'll give it a try some time. Also, i've read somewhere on this site that paying loads of attention to small details like you just described keeps everything vivid and even prolongs the dream.

I do that sometimes. This is a really beautiful feeling.

The strongest moment I remember is when I just walked outside a building and went to a large green lawn in between 2 streets. It was a summer morning, everything was so peaceful and quiet. Nothing mattered. I knew I was lucid but I simply enjoyed the moment. I knew that this lawn is long gone, there's nothing but concrete and buildings there in RL. I knew that I would never be there again, it was like being back in time when I was a kid... So beautiful.
Then I decided to save this moment so I can come back, but the dream turned gray and faded.

I did that one time... well actually a lot of times but if u were wondering thats where my name came from... mountain i mean. one time i just decided it would be cool to sit on top of a mountianso i just turned and made a door leading to a mountaintop and went through... and i just sat there for a while and whatched everything from the mountain down like i could see everything with amazing clarity, no matter how far away it was, i could see all the way down the mountain and the trees and rolling hills that laid out before it and animals running along the green and the clear blue sky ahead of me... it was amazing... ill never forget it. that one dream alone was worth all the work ive put into lucid dreaming... hence the name, mountain

my best lucid dream ever was one in which i didn't do much more than explore my environment and appreciate the subtle details. feeling paint/wicker chairs, observing the interplay of light adn shadow, listening to DCs speak, etc.

at the the end i laid down on the floor and ever so slowly managed to levitate some feet, then back down, with startling realism of sensation.

i've had other lucids that sound more impressive, but that was by far the most psychedelic and memorable.

actually, i've been meaning to replicate the "do nothing" approach, but my last number of lucids have been low-medium degree.
