i just woke from my first succesfull LD.
I didn't notice i was dreaming till the very end.
In which i was doing everyday stuff, I went to someones house. bbq'ed some lunch, then i started to walk around my yard. I was headed for the gate, then i saw a wasp, I felt alittle fear of the wasp stinging me, then it did. thats the exact moment i relized i was dreaming. i looked down at the hole in my leg left from the wasp and then thought about it stretching, it did, then i thought about it being big enough for my hand to go into, it did.
then i woke up. instantly aware of what i just had done.
after enjoying it the moment for a few minutes a glanced over at my clock.
      what the hell?
its 1245? i went to bed at 11. took me atleast a half and hour too fall asleep.
that cannot be right. instantly i thought i was still dreaming and began to asses the situation. no, seems i am indeed awake.
so i headed over to the computer and wrote down my experience and then here i am.

All the things i have read about LD'ing have said you typically need atleast 4-6 hours before you begin to dream. i acheived full blown LD in only an hour? is that possible?
well it is, because it just happend.
unless i am infact still dreaming, and this is just an insanely misleading dream.
      but who knows....

Yes it's possible, its just more likely to happen 5-8 hours after going to bed. The REM periods are longer later in the sleep cycle.

It is suggested that you start practicing LD induction techniques after 4-6 hours because
      a) Your body will be relaxed
      b) Your REM cycles will be longer
      c) You will be less anxious about losing sleep while doing any technque

It is perfectly normal to have LDs during your first dream of the night.

Okay, let's look at the significance of al of that. First and foremost we must regard Lucid Dreams as being important dreams. In this particularly important Dream, a tiny little bee stung you, and your response was to make stretch the hole out far enough to stick your hand through it. And then you woke up.

So... You made a Big Hole out of practically nothing.

Sounds like you were gone and back again in 15 minutes. Were you very tired? Perhaps the excitement woke you up so rapidly again? were you very excited when you became Lucid?

I had an LD just after falling asleep the other night, actually. It was probably within 30 minutes after going to bed. I've never had an LD at that time of night before, it's usually in the morning hours after I've had a lot of sleep. I see I'm not the only one!

i think that was it. i was just so excited to have a normal LD.
i was VERY tired that night. i had just gotten off work an hour ago, it had been a hard labour intenseive day. i fell asleep the second i hit my pillow. didn't even have time to prep myself for LD.
