Well it took some time but I finaly stayed lucid long enough to fly for a while. What I was doing before I became lucid I have forgoten. At the moment I became lucid the first thought then entered my mind was to fly and at that intant I lifted in to the air like levitation, no tug from gravity. Everything around my was still shaky, I felt like I was on the virge of wakeing up and I can not clearly remember the area around me it might have been a hallway. After flying for a minute or so I woke up, if I did anything else I dont remember.
I didnt even remember the dream until later on into the day.

Flying is such an awsome feeling. Congratulations on getting there.

The only LD in which I've really been able to fly with complete control was my first one. I jumped into the air and floated there, flipped around a bit, and landed with absolutely no problems. Ever since then, I've never achieved quite the same control. Often, I can only take giant leaps, or sometimes I'll end up floating around, almost like a balloon.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

cool sounding dream, but its weird that you didnt remember a lucid dream until later that day
Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.

I don't know why people have a hard time flying, there is no one way to get it right, it's how ever you think it's right.

With lucid dreaming, you just gotta know how you would do it, and how it would work, then it will, I never had to do testing and stuff. If you have to try different methods, it's not the methods that aren't working, it's your mind that won't let it. LDing lets you control your mind completely if you focus enough.

My first lucid dream I flew pretty damn fast, and since then the only times I've actually had trouble flying is when I really don't beleive it's a dream enough, or am starting to wake up.

Congrats though, glad you got to experience it.

Hey all,

While this threat is doing its thing I thought I would add a little something. Yes, flying IS wonderful, it's fantastic but it would be wise to not get "bogged down" in this feeling. How is that possible, you ask? Flying in a dream is almost like a good (really good) drug in waking life; you can become addicted. How is being addicted to flying in a dream a negative thing? It is not that it is essentially negative, it just may not afford you the same opportunities for spiritual growth that the original dream provides, and if you get hooked, it can be very difficult to break the habit of 'flying away' rather than staying grounded and working towards nobler ends.

I have a Lucid Dream every week or so now and I still have a lot of trouble resisting the flying urge as I have chronic pain in waking life and flying is obviously a wonderful release. However, as far as my pain is concerned, flying is like taking a pain-killer; it only temporarily relieves the symptoms. The most likely explanation for my bodily state is some form of Karma (most likely prior to this incarnation because I've been good this time around- well, nothing to warrant 3 years of chronic pain) or self-sabotage through "wrong-thinking", passing the deficiencies in my spirit through the etheric body to manifest the way it does. I have greatly improved since seeing my condition this way but have a long while to go... and I can assure you, flying doesn't help.

However, I read a very good post by Leo Volont the other night that actually makes spiritually constructive use of flying. After stopping and focusing on his state, he sits in the Lotus position (apparently a very- he says the best- good position from which to fly). He has conditioned his Higher Dreaming Mind to (after he is in flight) to automatically cause him to float back down according to where it is that he should dedicate his lucidity to. I am yet to try this but I pray that when I become lucid that I do.

Anyway, enjoy your flying (it is truly a blessing), but try some meditation in the dream too… ask for Divine guidance.

Dae,

Rob.

I flew just last night in my 2nd lucid dream! It was really amazing!
Since finding myself floating was what triggered my lucidity, I knew I could do it.

After trying to jump into the air a few times and failing, I just let myself float up since I had already done that.
Once I got floating, I simply willed myself in the direction I wanted and I was off.

Flying is probably the most amazing thing I've ever experienced!

I know, but it happens alot. Ill know I had a dream but the memory will be so cloudy I cant figure out anything that happened in it. Then halfway through the day someone will say something that causes me to make the conection in my head and Ill Remember parts of it.

In every lucid dream iv had so far Iv has been very short so Im trying to do different things each time, Im not quite sure what Ill try to do next.
