One night, after realizing the situation I was in that day had been experienced before(some deja vu), I fell asleep thinking of what it would be like to control myself in dreams. And just like that I was suddenly at my elementary school playground, even though in real life I had just entered 8th grade in middle school. When I realized I was in a dream I jumped as high as I could. I soared upwards about 30 feet, way above the school. I'll never forget that dream.

After that, I could walk around freely in my dreams, though not all the time. It seemed to be off and on. It wasn't until recently when I had a significant dream, although I cannot remember what exactly it was about, only that I was outside. Looking back now I get the feeling I was once again in my school playground. While walking around I suddenly had the ability to manipulate the environment. I realized this was the first time I had experienced such a thing and I knew it wasn't real. I simply said to myself "wow, this is a lucid dream. I'm having a lucid dream!!"

It was as if those were the magic words. Time stopped and so did my environment. I saw everything around me, the trees and grass and buildings, just fade into grey. I was left suspended in nothing, floating there in front of an infinite abyss of grey, with its edges tinted in black. I was in awe, even though all I was looking at was the color grey. I tried to move but as soon as I did I woke up.

The whole impression I got from this experience was that this grey that I saw, this endless expanse of nothingness, is what reality actually looks like if there was no one or nothing around to color it. It was like a canvas and I was the artist, left to do whatever I wanted with the reality. I had the power to create, just like we all do. It was my own little reality in my mind and I was the god that had the power to create. No wonder I immediately woke up - I tried to move but had not created the ground, so how could I walk on nothing? What an amazing experience, though it does not seem as elaborate as other people's. Quite a simple setting but I enjoyed it so much.

Has anyone else seen this limitless void?
