Dying In A Lucid Dream

Last week I died in a lucid dream.
On awakening before opening my eyes I actually thought that I had died in reality and couldn't understand why I was regaining consciousness. At first I thought that I was in an afterlife but then thought that I might have survived and was in a hospital. When I opened my eyes I was confused to find myself in my bedroom. It was only when thinking back that I realised that it was a dream. Has anybody else had this strange experience.
For the record, thinking that I was dead wasn't that bad when I thought there was life after death.

I had a dream that sort of relates to what you experienced. I wasn't lucid but I remember falling from a great height then when I hit the ground everything went dark and I remember thinking "Oh no, I'm dead now" I woke up shortly after. I had a nice laugh about that

lol i dont know if its supposed to be funny or not but it sounds that way. lol did u lose lucidity since u thought it was real life?

I had a non lucid dream once where i was in a car wreck and everything went black and i thought to myself why can i still think if im dead, then i started floating up in the blackness and then i woke up

In A lucid I jumped off a cliff also off a plane (i know just a bit wacko)

but of course the hard rock below me acted like a safety net from the circus trapeeze acts
