I was having a lucid dream last night, nothing too interesting, and then I decided I wanted to go skydiving. I was skydiving and my mouth started to get very dry from all the "wind" (if you've ever been skydiving this really does happen). All of a sudden my dream went black, but I was still lucid. I very vividly rememebr my lips being dry and trying to lick them, but not being able to, and trying to open my eyes but not being able to. This entire time there were no images in my head. What I actually think happened is that I became fully conscious whilst in REM sleep. I was entirely aware of my body lying on the bed and everything I was feeling, but I was completely paralyzed (as one is in REM sleep). It took me a while to calm myself down. Once I did, i started thinking of images to try to throw myself back into a dream. This eventually happened and I wen back to dreaming and eventually woke up... creepy.

      It's called sleep paralasis.(sp?)

It's happened to me once, and can be horribly realistic and scary.

ohh yeah, that's almost definately SP.

I had it just yesterday when taking a nap...I could feel I was on the couch and I could hear the tv...nightmare on elmstreet was on (I think my brother was watching it) I knew I was dreaming and listening to the movie made me scared as hell and I was just like shivering...almost siezing cause I was reaally scared cause I couldn't move.
