the dream started at my friend's house. i was laying down on the couch and my mom walked in and told me i had a very early hockey game/practice. i argued a bit and eventually fell asleep. i woke up and my dad was rolling my hockey bag into the room and told me it was time to go. i got up and again argued a little. i realized that i had fallen asleep on the couch and awoke in a bed so i did a reality check. it worked, i was dreaming!

to make sure i tried to put my finger through my palm. i didn't work, so i began to question if i was really dreaming. i used the nost plug reality check technique again, and again it work. i was indeed dreaming. at this point my dad was gone. i turned around to look for him and i saw chris in his bed. i woke him up to tell him i was dreaming. he didn't believe so, to prove it, i put my hand behind my back and pulled out and ice cream cone. chris's dog was next to him so i summoned a dog treat for her. i suggested we go outside so we headed to the door.

i saw this as a perfect opportunity to change the dream-scene. i imagine there would be a huge operation ivy concert outside, and eagerly opened the door. it didn't work. outside there were a whole bunch of black and white vans. i obviously didn't have as much control as i thought. we walked past the vans across his driveway and to the other side of the street. we started running to the right, and there were a whole bunch of cars parked on the side of the road, like there was a party going on somewhere.

as we were running i started to hear a bunch of kids coming towards us on bikes. they were chris's neighborhood kids. chris started to run a lot faster. so fast that i couldn't keep up. when i reached to corner i gave up, chris was too far ahead. the kids caught up, so i stopped. they surrounded me with bright yellow dodgeballs. one of them signaled the rest and they all threw their dodgeballs. they road away and i was standed on the street corner alone for a little bit.

i was trying to think of something to do, and decided to go meet a dream character. i saw a house that i recognized and walked up to it. i knocked on the door and eased its way open. i noticed a birthday cake on the table with four candles it and decided that i shouldn't disturb them, so i shut the door and left. as i turned around i noticed chris and his friends walking down the street towards me.

i ran up to them and power-slided to a stop in front of them. they stared in awe and i tried to fly, to show-off some more. i got a running start and jumped with my hand in a fist, pointing towards the sky, and jumped. i didn't work. i imagined myself floating off the ground a little bit and it worked. i was flying. i eased my way back to the ground, and was woken up by the alarm clock.

Shweeet! First lucids always kick-ass, glad you got one!

How lucid did you get? You mentioned that sometimes you couldn't make happen what you wanted, so how vivid was the dream itself?

Wow I just love hearing about these...it's so magical! :yumdumdoodledum:

I can't wait to get my first lucid dream where I don't wake up very quickly...like you say about floating, I too can levitate a few feet high in my dreams, only it was this that actually triggered my last lucid dream (which I awoke from shortly).

I'm trying audio tonight for the first time.
