      WILD without HI

I had a very odd WILD this morning.

I was lying in bed(left side this time) after several hours of sleep trying to WILD. My thoughts were drifting and I was pleasantly relaxed.

Suddenly, I felt the vibrations start. But at the time there was absolutely no HI.

I visualized myself flying head-first down a tunnel filled with energy fields. Whenever I would pass through a field, it resulted in a vibration.

This continued on for 10-20 seconds as I slowly "descended".

Again, at no time did I see any HI. When the sensations stopped, I was still in darkness, but upon opening my eyes, I was in a Lucid Dream! WOOT!

Had a very nice highly vivid, hour long LD.

Spent most of the time working on my research, but I did take some time out to fly and cause a magnificent sunrise!

Had anyone else ever had a WILD like this? Without HI?

Those fleeting images you see as you are falling asleep.

I asked this in another post a while ago. Apparently a lot of people have WILDs where they do not see HI. I for one, never see HI. No matter what I do it never shows up, though I have done a WILD before.

So yea you don't need to see HI, and some people never see it.

      Just revisited you thread Alric!!!

I guess the reason it took me 3 months to succeed was that I was just too #%@$ focussed on seeing HI!

Wll, I won't make that mistake again! This morning was way cool and I hope to pull off another one Sunday!

I was wondering that too, and how did you pull an hour long LD? Mine don't last nearly that long or so it seems. Maybe i just cant track time while I'm dreaming.

      <-- look i'm almost not a n00b anymore, w00t!

The dream is real, my friends. The failure to realize it is the only unreality.

I've got a theory on that.

Seems that my LDs using dreamsigns are usually short. I think this is because I become lucid so late in my REM cycle, maybe with only 10 minutes or so left.

When you WILD, you should become lucid at the start of your REM cycle and therefore have more possible lucid time.

This WILD was after about 8 hours of sleep, so I should have been in continuous REM. I think I could have continued it a little longer, but my wife was getting restless and it woke me up.

It did have to use verbal commands and spinning a couple of times to hold on to it, and I did have one false awakening, but was able to continue.

Oh, I looked at the clock before and after. An hour and 10 minutes had passed. This WILD only took about 5-10 minutes to induce (luck!).

Are the weird images I get every time I try to get to slep, like a man exploding into loads of cream etc. an example of HI???

Hey Seeker thats wonderful. You're experiencing the exact WILD's that I always have. Every last one of my WILD's are without the HI. And I don't have the slightest clue why. I want to see the HI but I can never see anything until the LD just unfolds once Im there. It's like I have my eyes closed and when I open them the dream scene is already set up. Im so happy to hear someone else experiencing WILD's this way. Way to Go Seek! :bravo:

Thanks Shadow! I've WILDed both ways now.

I've got to say, the one without HI was much easier to accomplish. I think that is the way I'm going to try from now on.

It was so cool, just like waking up, but waking up into a lucid dream instead of plain old everyday reality!

I JUST saw this thread for the first time!

I also use HI when I WILD but I never thought anything about it. Its quite easier, yes, very much easier.

Yeah, I don't even think of them they just pop out and of nowhere and it's like 'Wtf was that?' Sometimes I think weird stuff too, like reminiscing about events that never happened.

I did that once - WILD without HI. In fact, it's my only WILD that I've had going directly from awake to sleep (as opposed to waking, then sleeping again)

It's simple yet hard. All I did was keep my mind awake while my body fell asleep rather than transferring myself into a dream. Although now I can tell when it's coming and I try to 'grab' it (the vibrations) but as soon as I do, they die down. Oh well
