During the one time I lucid dreamed, I was able to say one thing to somebody before I got caught in the dream again. I told my friend right after I realized I was dreaming, "I'm dreaming!"

Then my friend said to me, "You are f'ing crazy." But the problem was that my friend never uses the F word.

I was wondering if anyone here met their friend or someone they know in a dream and how close their dream personality was to their real personality.

My dream characters are usually people I know, but they almost never act like they usually do...

Made up my mind to make a new start,

do you think how we view our friends has any impact on how they are in our dreams?

The actual (technically second lucid since age 5, but I consider it more of my first) lucid dream which brought me here, had one of my friends in it, and I actually used their personality to become fully lucid after I floated.

I knew I was in a dream after floating/levitating, but to lastly verify, I asked this friend if I was in a dream, twice.

He replied with no emotion, "no, you're not in a dream".

When he said this, I knew I was in a dream 100%, because he really would have laughed at me.

I'm curious to speak with this person in a lucid dream some more, and see what more they might have to say to get an idea of overall personality change.

I think in regards to dream characters that we know in waking life, His/her personality may be a reflection on how we may precieve them subconsciously maybe perhaps wishing thier personality was slightly differnt either a little more something.. Then again who know's it just may be random.

I think it is what you want to percieve the guy as. Because I've always had the thought that what if my father was cheating on my moms with her sister. An one day while dreaming my aunt was sleeping naked on top of my father while my moms was on the side of the bed sleeping and at that point I was pissed.
