I can't believe what happened last night. Wow is all I can say.

I started a thread the other day about how I just couldn't attain that first self-induced lucid through what I have learned after being here, even though I was stuck in a 3d videogame.

Last night, was totally different. For some reason I had such a sense of normal conscious thought during dreaming it was unbelievable. Like never before. I can't believe what I could actually control in the dreams about to follow. This is going to be a long post, as I must explain the entire experience in detail (and I used no aids)...

I have been trying audio with ear buds, so the folks don't hear my audio. Each night I had been yanking them out, or the audio would simply wake me up. Last night, I knew that I was off work today, and no one would be here in the morning, so I knew I could finally use the audio without the disturbing earbuds. I for some reason had that feeling like "I'm going to lucid in the morning". Like it was my first real try with the audio.

Anyways, what really was about to occur was much, much different.

(I went to bed at 3:30am, and had the audio set to begin at 8:00am.)

A dream begins...I am in the back seat of a car, with two close friends up front. We are driving down a local backroad in our town, coming back into town. There seems to be roadkill everywhere. I'm talking like every 150 feet there is a new dead opossum or racoon lying on the road. Suddenly, it appears there is a body lying in the road! We drive around it, I say "wasn't that a lady's body!?". My friends reply "no!", like I was seeing things with all the other road kill around. So I sorta shrug that off, assuming they were smart enough to know.

We get further down the road, less than 1 minute later in reality if driving. It's daylight now, even though I could swear we were just using our headlights in the dark. Suddenly, I look to the right and swear I just caught a glimpse of a large black and white snake lying curled up on the roadside. I like snakes, so I say to the driver "hey, I'm not completely sure, but I swear I just saw a huge snake, turn around".

He looks at me like I'm nuts again. And then, "holy shit!" I say, there is another snake on the roadside, but it's about a 15ft reticulated python! (This is all happening soo fast, over about 1/4 mile of driving.) I now look ahead in amazement, and the largest snake of all, in fact bigger than anything I've ever seen in reality, is lying across the road in front of us. We run the snake over with the car as there's no way to miss, and what happens? No bump is felt!

This was the only reality check which I needed, I knew there would be a large bump experienced after running something over that large on the road. I grab my friend who's in front of me sitting in the passenger seat, I shake him hard enough to bounce his head back and forward and yell "I'm in a lucid dream!!". I know I shouldn't get excited, but I was and couldn't help myself.

He turns around and looks at me smiling, his eyes have no color, they are huge bulging black pupils like an alien. But it was just something to look at, because now I had better things to do. I had already thought about awaking, and knew I was going to rub my hands if so. I stay in the car as it drives, we drive about another mile to an area of cornfields where I say I'm getting out.

The first thing I wanted to do is practice flying. I've already slightly flown before and levitated, so I wanted to try this without getting scared. All I can say is it was constant moon gravity in my dream. I ran and jumped, jumped again, and on the third time got about 10 feet or so high while traveling about 35 feet. I said alright, now lets fly. It was amazing. It was like I simply powered myself up by wanting to go up, like a magnetic repulsion, and when I quit propelling myself, I would begin to fall back down with the slow moon gravity pulling me. The higher I went, and the faster I let myself fall back down, gave me more of the falling feeling which some of us hate. I realized if I kept my rate of fall slow, I wouldn't really get that feeling, just slightly. I noticed I have to keep myself going up slowly also, if too fast I also get the falling sensation.

So I say alright then, lets see just how high I could go. I managed to go pretty damned high, looking down at the cornfields below and traveling quite some distance from where I was. I allowed myself to fall back down slowly. The way I see it, it's like I fly in a giant arc. However, when I slowly touched down, I realize a car is coming across the field at me at high speed! It is apparent the car is trying to literally ram me. I lift off the ground again so it cannot hit me. The car keeps turning and has the gas floored, as if trying to nail me where I land. I'm thinking ok, this guy is stupid, I can fly and he's in a car. After about 30 seconds of him chasing me around, I realize I need to destroy him somehow. I remember thinking in my dream that I must pull objects out from somewhere for best success in summoning. The first thing I think of is an explosive charge. I remember wondering if it will come out of my pocket, and it did!!!

The first charge I throw to the ground explodes, but it misses him. I don't know how I was setting these things off, but it was like they just went off at nearly the right time. The second one I throw out in front of him. Bam! It explodes under his car, with tremendous force. I remember seeing pieces of the car fly and the windows shatter. But the car is still moving! I wonder what I can do now. For some reason, I think of the BFG 9000 there was in Doom (the huge gun). I swear I remember reaching in my pocket for it, and it comes out as well. Right now I'm amazed at what is actually happening. I aim at the car, and instead of it shooting a nuclear glowing charge, a rocket launches from the gun. The rocket literally blows the car to pieces and surely kills the crazy nut driving. I am still in the air above the car.

I land, and begin waking up from the dream...I quickly rub my hands, but it does not work. (Or so I had thought&#33

(A false awakening occurs) I awake in my room which is normally dark, but there is enough light to write with. I'm extremely excited that I just had a lucid dream, and realize that I must record it before I forget. I grab a notebook which is never there, and a pencil. I lean forward in my bed, and begin writing what has just happened in the dream. For some reason, I cannot see while I'm writing, only at the end of the sentence can I look! Each sentence is curving upwards as I write, into the others. I assume I am very tired and cannot write, so I stop. I fall back asleep.

The rest of this dream is all but too wierd for me to correctly analyze, but I somehow fell back into the realization of lucidity as I fell back asleep from the false awakening and lucid loss I just had. I was placed into a house. This part is harder to remember, but I do remember realizing I was dreaming. There is no one in the house which I know of. I remember thinking about a hot women being there, and shortly one walks up to the upstairs which is where I was. I start to take off her clothes after saying just a few words, and I believe I begin to awake again. I start spinning this time, when I stop, I'm no longer there, but instead in another house with two girls I know. To make a long story short, I have sex with one, and right after I have sex with the other. This sex didn't seem as real as it has before in a dream, it seemed like I was gaining consciousness and it was more of a thought than a dream.

This is the last thing I remember at this point, as suddenly, I am awoke by the actual audio MP3 itself I had timed to go at 8:00am!!!

At this point, I am simply amazed at what has occured so far, not upset the slightest bit that the audio awoke me. I turned off the audio mp3 aid and forgot about it.

I go downstairs and get a drink of milk. Knowing I can sleep longer, I get back in bed anxiously. I manage to fall back asleep about a half hour later.

Right back into a lucid dream that is. How am I lucid? I have no idea, it's like I just knew I was dreaming again, because right away I wanted to start flying (which is a 100% dream cue for me).

I was placed in a downtown scenario of my town. As the dream begins, a runner is running by me down the sidewalk. I start running after them, and run past them. I say hey, "can you do this?", and I leap into the air flying. They are amazed that I am flying. At this point, all I wanted to do was brag to people about flying. I see a girl I used to know on a payphone talking, I walk over to her and tell her that I can fly. I start lifting straight up and show her, going about 12 feet high. She is amazed as well. More people from the streets come, and I fly a few more times for them to see. I walk over to a school, and for some reason everyone from high school who has graduated is in the hallway.

I tell them all that I can fly. I remember flying right at a kid and kicked him into the door like I was doing a karate move. They are all simply amazed, but one get's mad and says something to me and I grab his shirt, I think I threatened him.

I keep doing it, but I'm trying not to hit the hallway ceiling. Realizing then that it doesn't matter, one last time I simply shoot up and bash my head into the ceiling tile, knocking it out. I remember looking into the dusty environment above for a moment.

I awake once again. Still having sleep left in me, I yet again fall back asleep. What will continue is the only instance in which I have ever used a discussed reality check to attain the lucidity...

I find myself in Iraq, a soldier in uniform, standing along a long line of tables in a line with other soldiers on each side of the tables. Quickly realizing we are transporting the tables into a grade school, I lift the table near me and follow the others into the school and down the hallway. My table is to go into the end classroom, with windows on two walls. There is two American teachers teaching the Iraqi children, good looking American teachers. Maybe 15 kids all together in there.

The one teacher tells me how to move my table and where to set it up, and I do, as well a move a few chairs. Children begin sitting at the table. They start a movie for the children. While other soldiers are moving tables and standing in the hallway, they tell a few of us to sit down in the classroom.

It is dark outside the windows. I remember sitting on the floor, and thinking about where I was and the corruption, and how vulnerable I was. I remember thinking that a grenade could simply fly through the school window at any time (although unlikely), and how this was reality. As I thought that exact thought, I questioned how I actually got there, and started to think that it was really a dream.

I examined the room as carefully as I possibly could, but my instincts told me it was reality. Suddenly, I realize there is a framed poster on the wall with words on it. I realize I can do a reality check with the words.

I study the series of 4 words in one spot, but not too good as so they would surely remain the same. It's hard to read in a dream and remember, but I remember the 4th word was TEST. I look away, and look back at the 4 words. Sure enough, TEST had changed to something like TEABRS.

I immediately begin laughing. The teacher at the desk looks at me and asks what I am laughing about.

I walk up to her, look at her, and speak quietly to her, as if not to tell the children. I say, "well I did a reality check to see if I am dreaming, and the words on the poster changed, I know this is a dream, isn't it?".

She looks at me, as if with the look on her face of "sorry but...", and says to me, "yes, this is a dream". The first thing I do is tell her how I am now going to do whatever I want since it is a dream. She looks at me with a laughing expression, and says "what do you want to do, mess around with me?". (lord my dream mind is just so sexual, isn't it?)

I tell her "yes I do!", and proceed to in front of all the children with not a care in the world. This is the last thing I remember before my final awakening.

Well, I just wrote a book on my first induced lucid night, I know most of you won't read half of it; but there you have it...my vivid lucid experiences of just one night.

I am very excited to know if another will follow tonight, and just what caused my very alert state on this night.

So for the record...is this considered multiple DILD's/WILD's considering only one night?

Would the instance where I fell back into lucidity after being awake truely be considered a WILD? Or was that just a conscience recognition and really another DILD?

Just wondering how to label for my record.

LOL I just read your whole book, very intersting and I am so happy for you...I am new to this whole thing but considering how vivid my dreams have always been and my ability to recall my dreams I am really looking forward to experiencing a lucid dream, well now that I know more about them.

Congrats! And happy dreaming tonight! Maybe you'll have more, and come across them more easily now that you were so successful this time, confidence in your ability is supposed to help accomplish more in the dream world right?

The whole idea in my mind, was that I had a certain confidence something was going to happen with me due to being able to finally "correctly" try the audio mp3.

Even though the audio was never used, I believe it was this confidence and desire which caused me to spring into a vivid lucid dream mode. I personally never have the ability to ask myself and think to myself the various things which I did during last nights dreams, so something obviously triggered there, and it was unbelievable.

Now if only I can make some better progress, instead of trying to have sex with everyone.

Well done, DS! Nice one! That is so exciting for you - and what an awesome first-time experience, too!

I can totally relate to the flying because that's usually the first thing I do when I'm lucid. I love flying.

oh and I love your sig, btw

Thats a Great (and long) Experience, one of advantages of having a lucid dream is that it gives a great motivation to keep trying. Like the part of the Big Fucking Gun too (yes i´m a Doomer).
