I have had two lucid dreams in 3 days, after only having very brief lucids 3 times in total over like 2 months of practicing. Lately I have been looking at my hands a lot during the day, and incubating my dreams. I wrote on a card "Look at your hands!" and keep it under my pillow. I look at it every night before I go to bed, and it has worked twice this week. I look at my hands in the dream and bingo... well just read the dreams

DREAM: Lucid! House at the rail and an old friend

19-10-06
8am

I'm in a house with some people and I decide to go outside for some fresh air. It's night time. I'm standing outside on a balcony in the cool night air and all of a sudden a train pulls up - the balcony becomes a train station platform. One person gets off the train and begins walking toward me. At first I don't recognise him then I realise it's my old friend Ash from high school. I walk up to him and we shake hands and say hello. I invite him into my house and he accepts and comes inside. Now all the people are gone, except one male who I live with. I think it might be a friend, or my brother. We go into a bedroom which has two beds in it, and a television with a movie playing. The other guy I live with is lying in one bed watching the movie. I sit down with Ash on the bed and we have a catch up. I ask him what he's been up to and he tells me he got a job in Sydney working in IT. His dad landed it for him, and I'm impressed that he has his life well together. He seems pretty happy.

We are watching the movie - it's an Arnold Swartzenegger film about a bunch of people who are competing for Oil contracts because of a war. I watch it for a minute and the movie becomes my dream. I'm watching Arny on a long harley which has a front wheel and two back wheels which are actually in-line. The very back wheel pivots because all of these vehicles are racing through a floodgate/canal type thing. He's riding up beside a truck under a bridge and another motorcycle tries to knock him down.

Ash lies down on the bed and I get up and start walking around the house. The other guy who I live with keeps moving from his bed to a chair like every time I look in his direction. I feel strange and I look at my hands. BINGO I've got 7 fingers on each hand - I'm dreaming!! I ask the other guys and they confirm I am indeed dreaming.

I think to myself "it's ok, stay calm this is your place don't leave yet" and it works. I just walk around the house for a while, do some funky karate moves, then go back and watch the movie for a bit. I'm sitting down and I turn around to Ash and his face has turned into an old lady with big glasses. Like really old. I laugh and slap her and say "I can do this because I'm dreaming!" - I half expect her to react like a lady normally would if I slapped her but she just smiles sweetly at me. Next thing I jump up to the ceiling and grab onto two invisible rails which run around the whole house. They take me on a rushing ride all over the house which was really cool. I end up in a back room somewhere and begin to wake up. END DREAM

DREAM: Lucid! A strange dog

17-10-06 - 9am

After having a few nights of low dream activity and crappy sleep, I got up this morning early to have coffee with my cousin who was returning to sydney. I went back to bed, meditated on sounds for a while then finally fell into a dream.....

Cara and I are laying on our bed watching a movie on the computer. There is a window behind us looking through to the block of flats behind us, and also a window at the other end of the room where my desk is, looking through to the block of flats on the other side. The blinds are up and I can see our neighbours through their windows and they can see into our room too. I am a little paranoid because we are just in our underwear, but it doesn't seem that important.
There is a bundle of washed sheets sitting on my chair and they start unravelling and falling to the floor. Cara doesn't seem to take any notice, but my heart rate starts to increase as I'm watching this. I get the feeling there must be a cat of something because the sheets are moving like something is under them. All of a sudden a dog jump out. He is a little smaller than a regular labrador and has the hair of a foxie terrier. He is white with black patches. I jump out of bed and he jumps up on me and I give him a pat. He is all happy, tail wagging and mouth open. Cara gets exciting now too and he jumps up onto the bed and Cara is patting him. She looks out the window and tells me some kids next door are watching us through the window.
Now it gets weird.. I'm looking at the dog and I notice it has, on the left side of it's face, two big googly eyes that are perpendicular to it's normal eyes. They are joined together and it can't uncross them. They are yellow and orange. I say to Cara I think there's something wrong with the dog and she says "no, it's fine". I start to see single , big glassy coloured eyes on it's body as well and I say "there's deffinitely something wrong with the dog - maybe someone abandoned it cos it's mutated".

I start to wonder whether I'm dreaming. I look at my hands [I've been working on this reality check and incubating dreams to look at my hands IRL] and my hands are blurry and kind of changing size and perspective. I ask Cara if I'm dreaming and she mutters an inaudible response. The dog jumps off the bed and walks over to me and I ask Cara again if I'm dreaming. This time she sits up with her back against the wall, looks at me seriously and says "yeah". After a while I'm convinvced, and I begin to wonder what to do. It's like the dream kind of stops and waits for my instructions. I pick up the dog and try to throw him through the ceiling for fun, but he just starts floating upward and the ceiling seems to be of a different dimension - like out of focus with the dog. This is where the dream ends, even though I feel it ending and try to stay inside. END DREAM
