I just had a thought. I was watching TV and mildly buzzed from drinking a little Captain when my eyes went out of focus a little and I was keenly aware of my peripheral vision. As I looked at the entire room with that fuzzy feeling in my head I thought that this is exactly how it feels to be lucid. I had to do several reality checks to convince myself that I was not dreaming. I don't know if it is just me but I thought it was worth sharing. Am I alone in this or not?

That fuzzy feeling. Does it sort of feel like you are very aware in your head yet you get no actual awareness from it? Like, passive awareness...

Gah, hard to explain. Am I hitting it sorta right or am I striking with wet matches?

All my lucids have been DILD so far, about 8, and it's all thanks to the feeling of a dream.

I start to know I am dreaming when it feels fuzzy and then I think about the place:
      Is it familiar?
      How'd I get here?
      And sometimes a RC.

What a dream feels like to me:
Fuzziness, not able to focus on something and see great detail (I hope this changes), and not being aware of my peripheral vision.

Without the Fuzziness I don't think I would have ever become lucid.
And yes, to me it seems like passive awareness, if that makes sence

We seem to be opposite "keenly aware of my peripheral vision" and I'm not.

It will be interesting to see if a Lucid feels "fuzzy" to many other people too.

most of my lds are increadibly life like. especially my last one. everything looked and sounded and felt like real life. i was thinking nice and consious too. i have had a few dull ones though. there was one where i could only open one eye. and if i forced the closed eye open a big bunch of hypnogogic imagery got in the way of my vision. eventully i just had to accept that my eye wasnt going to open and just learn to see through my eyelid lol
      Total lucid dreams=88

Weird coincidence, I just experienced something similar yesterday for the very first time!

I had just bought some delicious italian take-away, and on the way home I walked through a small park area, and there was a soft rain and it was dark and windy.
Suddenly it had this strong, strange feeling, almost like when you have a Deja Vu, and it felt just like I was in a lucid dream. It may have been the scenery inducing this sensation - a glowing lamppost in the darkness, and the leaves on the trees blowing in the wind, etc. etc (it's hard to describe all the little details that made up the whole scene).

And the fact that I was still kinda wasted from a wild weekend, with no sleep and to much partying, so I totally agree with the "fuzzy feeling".

The whole thing only lasted for like 3-4 seconds max, but it was a nice and oddly familiar feeling.

Being lucid feels like experiencing the ultimate high to me.....

I feel so chilled out, and so excited at the same time. I have remarked in multiple dreams that I felt so exhilarated.
