I guess this counts as my second lucid! This one, unlike my first, was more vivid. That's two DILD's so far! neither had me using reality checks. Then I lost lucidity and had a long false awakening. Wow - it finally happened to me!

Here's how it goes, in detail:

Before I went to sleep, I listened to a file from warpmymind.com. It's a lucid hypnotic mp3, and it has the artist talking in a monotone voice about relaxation, and lucid dreams. Very trancing, but with no music. I listened to that for twenty minutes, then listened to another short autosuggestion one, and easily went to sleep.

I woke up about five hours later. Without any luck for lucidity. And I was like, "Oh, come on! I tried hard enough for this!" I went back to sleep, dreaming a weird dream...

At first (for the first time in a long time), I was dreaming about a nutcase of a guy, who wanted to kill these three people, and was going mad. He wanted revenge. It reminded me of Shakespeare's play, Hamlet. At some point, I became that character, who was searching a house for these three people. (First-person now) I entered the house, looking for these people. When I found them, they would come to me, and try to kill me, so I would throw beer bottles at them, and they would die. Sounds silly I know. Not only is this the first time in a long while that I've had a violent dream, it's the first time I have had a dream that felt like a video game. Eventually I killed the first two guys, and then I found my grandma trying to reach me, trying to kill me. I tried to kill her, and that's when I knew something wasn't right. So I stopped throwing beer bottles at her.
I knew it was wrong. For starters, she is the last person (as with anyone in my family) who would try to kill me. I questioned myself, as I was slowly stopping. What? Why am I doing this... It's a dream! I'm not evil! It's a dream! Wait, yes it is! It's a dream! This is the part where I became lucid; for about five seconds I was basically grabbing my conscience and pulling it into my dream. It felt like pulling something heavy out of water, or trying to remember something on the tip of your tongue. But it worked! I pulled my conscience mind up a mental slope, so to speak, until I then concluded I was dreaming.

Wham! That was so cool! What a shock, and suprise. I felt the dreamscape fill in, become larger, become vivid. I stopped trying to hurt my grandmother (still didn't apologise, but whatever ). I stared at my hands to intensify the dream quality. And it did just that, but only a little. I could see my finger prints and lines slightly. I noticed it looked fantastically real, but a little less - there were a few very minute blurry patches in my vision, as when you get dust bits on your eyes. But I am being fussy, it still felt very vivid, maybe a bit less than real life. I was awake, I knew I was dreaming. I knew what my goals were. I knew where I was. I knew what to do. I knew that it was close to morning, in the waking life. It was amazing!

I needed to get to my destination, but I wasn't very creative, maybe I didn't trust myself? Well, I just ran outside and tried to fly there. And I lifted easily into the air, feeling the breeze, and grandma's garden pass by. I took off at a forty-five degree angle. Felt funny, but oh so fine... However I lost lucidity when I tried something complicated: I looked down, under my outstretched arms, to my toes, just for a new perspective on what it would look like. It looked wrong, I saw what I was wearing but, my limbs didn't look in the right place... feeling chilled, excited and confused, I woke up. Well, at least I thought I did... stupid false awakenings.

I had to wake up at nine, it was about ten. So my attention was unbalanced, I didn't bother thinking about my lucid dream, I went back to sleep? I kept seeing my computer shelf disappear and reappear. Nothing woke me, or caused me to recognise this as a FA, until I woke later. The dream got carried away...

I'm glad I achieved this! More confident now. Yay! I learnt I should stick to my tasks, and not try to fool the mind (maybe until I get more experience). I learnt to do a reality check whenever I wake up too.

What are your thoughts? Had similar experinces? Have some advice, or questions? I'd love to hear some comments!

Awesome experience, really! I like the part when you realized you were dreaming after throwing beer bottles at your grandma (LOL)!

Well done - keep up the good work!

I'd like to try that tape from warpmymind.com myself!

Tell me, how long have you been attempting lucids with this audio?

I think it's the second or third night I've been using one of EMG's (warpmymind) files. But during the previous week, I have been listening to one or more, other custom and remixed versions of lucid hypnosis per night. Pretty fast results for me hey?

Hope anyone who tries gets fast results too, but don't expect them.

Sometimes I fall asleep to them, other times I don't.
