Whenever I Know That I Am Dreaming...

wheneever i fall asleep and have a dream, and know im dreaming it is usually during nightmares. like for example whenever i had a nightmare about vampires a while back, i got really scared and just thought to myself that i was dreaming. on this dream though it was like i was looking at myself in 3rd person like a video game, so all i could do was watch myself, anyone else had this?. unlike my other nightmare, w/ the texas chainsaw massacre guy. i knew i was dreaming so i ran and hid and all that..the scariest part og this dream was, in that dream i fell asleep and had another dream of the exact same dream. so i told myself to wake up, and i did. then i woke up in that dream, so i started to think it was reality, and when i finally woke up, i was sweating like crazy...

Yup. Happened a lot. It sucks, because even though you understand that you're dreaming, you don't understand that it's under your complete control so you try and wake up immediately... Hasn't happened in a while though. I think that when you get more dream control you'll be able to prevent this.
