A little description of me: I'm a teenager who almost never remembers his dreams, or at most, just a snippet of them. Then I found this site. I started looking around and reading all about lucidity, and I decided to start doing a dream journal later.

Two days after reading all of this stuff and NOT keeping a dream journal, I had this dream:

I was on my couch with my laptop. It was sunny, although it's winter over here, but that didn't bother me. I had all of this porn on my laptop that I was furiously trying to delete before my parents saw it. Then I found myself in a car with my parents and we were going downtown. For some reason, we had won a Wii, and my mother and I were arguing about it's cost.

We arrived at this bookstore with a cafe, and I realized that I wasn't wearing any pants. Then I thought "Wait, is this a dream?" I thought this because I remembered the dream signs that I read about. I tried to do some stuff and change the environment around me. It didn't work. So I thought "No, this is real," and kept walking to the bookstore. My dad and I went to the cafe and it was really huge with all these jugs hanging from the ceiling and then I woke up.

What's really strange about this, is once I questioned my dreamness, I couldn't do anything to prove that it was a dream. Second of all, this has been one of the least strange dreams I've ever had, so why would I question it on such a normal dream?

sometimes the enviroment doesnt change even when you want it too
of all the Reality Checks i know of, all have a risk of failure. especially the changing the enviroment RC cause you usually have to be absoulutly positive that it is a dream before you can do that. The nose reality check is the best one ive tried out of the 20+ times ive done it, its only failed once. just dont try it if you have a cold. some people like to look at their hands cause somtimes in dreams your hands look all weird. The finger through the hand rc works sometimes too. just try to push your finger through your other hand and if you can do that then you are dreaming. those are just a few of the many reality checks out there there are tons of them

Thanks for the advice, I'll try those next time if I ever question the reality again.
