Last night (well this morning) I think I evidently went into a WILD and knew exactly what it was. It first started out when I woke up at 8:00am this morning after falling asleep around 1:00am the previous night, I was only awake for a couple seconds I am pretty sure it wasn't a false awakening because right upon falling back to sleep I woke up agian, which I knew this time it was a false awakening. I decided to explore so I got out of my bed and walked out into the living room. No one was home. I then walked out side and climbed into my brother H2 which happened to be sitting out in the driveway. I knew he would never let me drive it in real life but I knew I was dreaming and what ever I did to it didn't matter because it was a dream right? so I take it for a jont down the street and here comes my brother flying up the street in his VW Jetta and crashes into his H2 and sees me inside. I immediately become very fearful that he is going to kill me then the dream just fades away. I was so frightened that I woke up for real and peaked out my bedroom window to check and see if his Humvee was still in one piece (which it was) so at this point I know I am awake I am a hundred % sure that its not a false awakening because I stayed a wake for a few minutes and looked at my alarm clock (the time was 9:30) so now I go back to sleep knowing I just had a lucid dream.

I am trying to fall back asleep when I realize that my body is drifting into sleep I remain conscious for a few minutes while I am witnessing a array of dark gray and light gray line patterns rapidly move in front of me I wasn't freaked out about this because I knew exactly what was happening (I was at the begging stage of a WILD)

Imagine a pattern like the one above moving in a swirling motion and about the same amount of vividness as you see it on the screen thats what It looked like from what I remember.

, knowing this I stuck with it and then I started to feel the SP come on for me it was just an intense vibration and it felt like I was spinning I knew and experienced SP before so I just stuck with it knowing I was about to have a WILD. I remained calm trying to ignore the vibrations and light patterns in front of me and then it all stopped. As soon as it stopped I started hearing myself talk to myself and I would answer myself it felt like I was answering myself telepathically where I would hear myself say something and I would answer it in my head. As I am doing this I suddenly find myself watching what appears to be a TV. I see a small screen with something going on, I watch this TV as it comes closer and closer until it takes up my whole field of view. I knew the WILD was pretty much complete at this point so I told myself to jump into the TV and there I was in a very vivid and seemingly real lucid dream. There were people I never seen before all around me men and women and they were talking to each other about random stuff. I rushed to a telephone to call a friend (using this technique to get people to come into LD's before) and when I pick up the phone some random guy start talking to me (I forget what he was saying) this seems to happen a lot in LD's so I kept hanging up on him until it went away. I called my friend and told them to come over we got into a conversation and toward the end of the conversation I lost my concentration and everything went black. It was then I realized I had woken up from my WILD. What seemed to be a few minutes was a few hours, because when I looked at the clock and it was 11:00 in the afternoon.

So can anyone confirm this being a WILD or was it just a normal LD. Also if this was a WILD now after doing it once and knowing how to do it will it be easier next time I attempt it?

Indeed, it sounded like you did WILD! Congrats! You have earned a WILD license!

Anyways, yes, it should be somehow easier once you achieved your first WILD because you now know what to expect in your WILD and use that to your advantage; however, I am not saying that doing it will be like a piece of cake, but... SOMEHOW easier. You'd still need the same amount of will to achieve it.

      Again, congrats.

Don't trust what you are seeing right now because you might be dreaming right now. Be LUCID! I repeat, be LUCID!

Its funny because the first time I am not trying to have a WILD I end up having a WILD.

      Hi,

I have narcolepsy and fall straight into REM sleep from walking, WILDING as you call it, this can be when sitting down (usually in a boring lecture at university&#33, This is often a vivid lucid dream in which I have much control and can go about having fun - flying around, interacting with other people etc, and then decide when to wakeup again to see if I have missed anything important!,

I once did this through an entire 2 hour lecture, waking up occassionally, then deciding that the dream was more important and could renter the dream where I left off providing I chose to do so within a minute or two,

Narcoleptics can often get more rest than they need by sleeping too much, thus always have had all the NREM sleep they need!. ITs just like the WBTB technique thats talked about but you can do it any time you feel tired, which is genarally when sitting down.

I do the same when I have a lie in, often being woken up by a friend, I tell them Im in a really lucid dream, to piss off, and then renter the dream!

I have for instance a 30min dream and feel I am losing my lucidity so wake up, write down anything interesting, then rejoin the dream!, have a 20min dream, wake up, write down, carry on into a third dream, and so on until about 5-6 dreams in total by which time they dont last long and I say goodbye and get up for work!
