Last night was my second attempt at becoming lucid, I used DILD I think. So anyway what I think I might've dreamt about lucid dreaming or somthing anyway here's what I wrote in my Journal (I usually have very odd dreams):

      Tuesday, January 02, 2007 – Lucid Dream?

I awoke in my room then I did a Reality Check, I plugged my nose and was still able to breathe. So I went to walk out of my bedroom and everything was dark. So I then walked back to my room and attempted to fly. I raised my arm and jumped up in the air, I came a little bit off the ground then crashed into my bedroom mirror. Soon after I was running as fast as I could up the road, pushing my hands along the grass to make myself go faster while being scratched by sticks. I was then walking up a different road with somebody else and I saw another two people going up the road. “Is that Starsky and Hutch” they replied “Yes”. Then some people travelling up that road shot them with automatic weapons. Soon after I was at a friends house and we were helping them out with some laundry. Another of my friends dad was concerned about where all the laundry was as there seemed to be some missing. After this we were at the dinner table, another person said “I don’t believe that you are lucid dreaming, I never did”. I then opened an egg that was highly decorated and looked at it for a while then woke up.

(I don’t think this was a lucid dream, although I was aware I was dreaming I just went with the flow of the dream and didn’t attempt to take control as I thought I was already controlling it…confusing)

So yeah I doubt that, that was lucid but it's really confusing me because I new I was dreaming, and another reason I don't think it was lucid is from what I've heard about how amazing a lucid dream is, this dream just felt like any other. Hopefully it's a step in the right direction though

Lucid just means that you realize you are dreaming. Hence, you were lucid. Dream control, however, is a whole different topic. You're confusing the two terms as interchangeable, which they are not. Cool experience, though, eh?

Thanks for the explination, As you're probably aware I'm new to this so don't really know what everything means yet

It was pretty cool though, I can't wait to have full control over a lucid though

yea i had lucid dreams when i was younger long before i could actually do anything in them. I just kept realizing i was in a dream and then usually waking myself up. Kudos on trying to fly though. I have to tell you that flying is one of my favorite lucid experiences. But the first time i flew i had to jump off a balcony... I knew i was dreaming and i couldn't fly, so i jumped off, i offer that as a tip, though it sounds a little weird, but it helped me. Flying is fun. Anyway just noticing you're dreaming is very important so keep up the good work

You know how if you stand in a doorway and push your arms against the side for aobut 60 secs when you step away your arms float up. Thats how I attempted to fly and I thought to myself that my arms will keep doing up and take me with it.

I've had dreams before where I realised I was dreaming but only believed I was in control. It worried me the same way at first but I know when I have been in control - I'm afraid the best way I can think of describing it is just by saying "you can tell".
Sounds like you had the same thing here.
Made you look. Er, now do a reality check or something.
