Can someone please tell me what this means.

Multiple times i have woken up and either my room seems bigger or i am smaller but i hear noises getting louder and louder. Everytime i try to shout out they become even more louder. I end up crying and thats weird as i never cry. EVER. Then i cannot get sleep for ages. And sometimes have to sleep with the tele on. It is so scary even though it doesnt make sense. I havent experienced this for a few months but i was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on the matter. Any help is much appreciated.

      P.S. im not scitso

      Hi Danski.

It sounds like you've been having a pretty tough time. I just want to ask you a question? Are you stating that when you hear these noises are you fully awake? I mean are you sure you are not dreaming. Because it just sounds like you may be experiencing a number of false awakenings. Which usually occurs once your mind mimics the actual place where you've feel asleep. It could be your room for instance and you may think that you are awake because the mind will have this down to a science where it duplicates your room. By your room being much bigger than usual is usually considered a glitch within the duplication process. Just like the Matrix when there would be a repeat in something because of a computer glitch. Usually when I experience false awakenings. I tend to notice slight variations of the size of either myself or the room also.

Next time try to Close your eyes and picture yourself in different enviorment. If you do this you can change the content of the dream to something more specific for you. And if this is the case then you've definately gotten the natural talent for Lucidity. Good Luck. I hope that helped.

Yea if you are asleep it could be a false awakening. Your laying down and you think you wake up but your still inside your dream.

People also hear sounds as their body falls asleep. Normally you drift off and your not conscious so you don't hear anything when you fall asleep, but if you stay focused and your mind stays awake as your body falls asleep you can hear things. Normally you have to try to do that though but it might just happen to you naturally.

You ever feel vibrations or anything when you try to go to sleep? If you do chances are thats it. Either way I wouldn't worry to much. If it happens again just try to relax and say to yourself "They are just noises and can't do anything to me", see what happens.

By the way if it happens again you could just do a reality check to see if your dream. If you remeber appearing some where else chances are you were dreaming heh.

If it seems like your not thinking clearly chances are it is a dream. Crying is a good sign of that.

Have you ever gotten up and left the room or stop trying to fall asleep and do something else? If you stay in bed I would say chances are you were dreaming. If you went and did something else and everything seemed normal then might not have been.

Sounds like a dream then. Don't feel bad though, false awakenings can seem very real. Even if you knew about lucid dreaming you still might not have noticed.

Just need to remeber if you wake up and something weird happens do a reality check. I know even some good people forget too and they think they are awake.

Next time you experience it, examine your digital clock carefully. Look at it few times. Then you will know if you are experiencing false awakenings or not...

i dunno, based on what ive read about sleep paralysis, and what i have experienced with it myself, your experience sounds very similar to it. You feel like you wish to call out (and/or move) but can't? what do the noises sound like? Is it static/ambient noise, and does it move at all? Have you ever knowingly suffered from sleep paralysis in the past? Look into it a little bit that may be it, but hey i know less than a tenth of what these other guys know so i could be dead wrong 8-)

I've had that happen to me a few times, minus being scared shitless. Just get up and try to walk through your door or something similar, turn on the TV, or anything that has an automatic responce, lights or something of the sort. If theres anything funny going on with it your dreaming....This never works with me, but nothing does with dreaming and me, others say its a very reliable RC.
