Do you do something in EVERY LD?

I was wondering if there is something you do in every single Lucid Dream. For example, I have flown every single time I've had a lucid dream (save for one, but that was because it immediately followed a flying LD). Even when I was a kid and didn't know what a lucid dream was, I would fly when I knew I was dreaming.

Is there something you do almost every time?

I am exactly the same way. As soon as I go lucid I fly, and do spinning to keep things clear. But as fun as flying is, it's beginning to become somewhat of a annoyance. I become totally preoccupied by flying and never get anything else done.
Tonight's the night. And it's going to happen again, and again. It has to happen.

I almost always fly...at least a bit. That is unless I can't find an open space to do so...

There have been times where my LD consists of me looking for a way out of a house to LD. Or my weird nightmare I had the other day I was going to fly but it was too dark...

But yeah, I always try to do that, it was my main goal when I started to LD, and, eventhough I have perhaps moved past that, I still love that feeling...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

if I am conscious enough, I usually just dreamwalk and try random little things. if not, I usually just want to be with Alec..

I'd like to try and sit still and just observe. anyone tried THAT?

yeah I've flown in every one of my 4 short lucid dreams. Well, basicly I just choose to float/fly everywhere I want to go, when lucid. It just feels natural.

has anybody ever tried running their hands through their hair? (if its long enough to do that). i would imagine something weird would happen because hair is a very complex thing...

That is what I am trying to do in my last couple LD's. Just walk around asking people questions and seeing what they respond. I like to ask them what it feels like to be a dream character, cause its fun to see what they say. Some know they are creations of my mind and are in peace with this, others fight for their existance.

I am thinking about just asking them about their philosophy of life, and other questions such as this. I feel that could might as well be the most interesting thing to do in the dream world...

haha. I meant stupid things. like turning diet rootbeer into the REAL stuff. because diet is of the devil >:i ...I actually did that once. it was stupid.

but seriously, I just do small things like that, and maybe reading things, trying to keep everything clear and remembering what I'm doing. what I WANT to do is sit and observe. sit. still.

      ..has anyone tried that?

I think I know what you mean...

The closest I have ever come to that was on my first WILD, the most vivid dream I have ever had. I just stood around for a minute or two, examining my surroundings and myself. It felt so intense I just stood there for a while and marveled at the feeling and the fact I was in a reality inside my mind...

Not quite there yet, but definately something on my to do list, basicly just to explore what my mind conjures up, watch the grass, search for ants, ask stuff about people, heh.

Yeah, saw it twice a couple of weeks ago...excellent movie, an instant classic...

I thought that was one of the most compelling movies I've seen in quite sometime...I can see why you made the reference. I've been doing this for some time, way before I saw the movie. If only the dialog in the dreams was half as interesting as the one in the movies...but nonetheless the answers are always fun to hear...

All of my LDs are very different. And I tried flying just twice....

Recently I've tried to extend time and played with a really cool dream gun...
