I attempted a WILD last night but I couldn't manage it. But I fell asleep with lucid dreaming freshly in my mind (I'm not sure if that's what triggered my semi-lucid dream). So I was walking around in my dream, grey walls everywhere, very dark light, and no people. Just me and the walls. Then I became lucid, I was aware I was dreaming, but I was only half asleep. I realised I was dreaming because I was half awake, so I wasn't completely in the dream state.

It was quite strange but I don't know if you can count that as a lucid dream.

If you knew you were dreaming while inside the dream, then yes - it was an LD. But were you actually asleep? From your description, it's hard to tell for sure.

Not really. I was half awake while dreaming the dream I was when I was completely asleep, if that makes any sense.

I turned some lights on and off in my dream last night, but when I wrote it all down, I realised that the light stayed the same when I flicked the switches.

Interesting, sounds like an LD to me, but you're little explaination there kinda left me confused. Wre you starting to dream while leaving the NREM stage or were you trying to say something else?

I was dreaming normally, fully awake, then I started to wake up and at that point, half awake, half asleep, I realised I was dreaming.

So when I realised I was dreaming, I was partly awake.

Yup that would still be a LD , as long as you recall that you realized that your dreaming in your dream, doesnt matter if u wake up later or whatsoever so Congratulations!!
