Hey guys. After a few months of being interested in LDing, I think I might have had one. I was lying in bed, counting my breaths and I got up to about 50. This is where it gets tricky, because I can't remember much after this part. I started feeling weird, maybe like falling, but I can't recall much. The next thing I remember is being somewhere in my house, just standing there, but something didn't feel right. I did a RC by looking at my hand and about half of it was out of focus I guess. It looked sort of fuzzy, like the colors were blurred or something. It's hard to describe. Anyway, I got really excited and I think that's when I woke up. This is pretty much all I can recall, but I was really excited when I woke up. This could be my first LD, but I'm not sure. Sorry I can't remember that much. What does everyone think? Was this a LD?

Well, finding yourself excited, before waking up and after doing a reality check, does somewhat imply a lucid dream. The main factor, though, relies on whether or not the reason you got excited was because you were aware that you were dreaming.
Seeing as how you can't remember much after beginning to descend into a dream does make it tricky though, because it's very possible to have a lucid dream and completely forget that you had one, by the time you woke up.

So...were you aware, while you were experiencing this, that you were dreaming? If the answer's yes, you had a lucid dream.

I'm pretty sure that I was excited because the RC showed that I was dreaming. The only reason I ask if it was a LD is because when I woke up, it seemed like it was unreal, like my mind just made it up or something. It might just be because I'm new to LD, but based on what you said, I think it was a LD!

Congrants, you did have an LD, the feeling of falling was really the first sign since when you transition from your NREM to REM stage, you typically feel like you're falling. I wish you many more LDs to come
