I got no idea what happened last night but it was awesome. The biggest mystery was whether or not this was lucidity, I reason that I must've been but then I didn't realize per se that I was dreaming, but I did. *sigh* it's really wierd

It was sorta like a nightmare at first, long story short me and some of my school friends were trying to stop the spread of a religion that advocated cannabalism in order to purify the soul, we were desperately trying to find an infinite grassy field where we could learn a way to defeat the demonic god that the believers were worshipping. in the field we found a plaque, at first we thought that the legends we'd researched were false, how was a slab of metal going to save us from our eventual annihilation, we were walking back to the car to come up with a new plan when I spotted a key jutting out of the earth by the side of the path, I picked it up went back to the plaque and found a keyhole, I put it in and a little box opened on the top of the plaque, I then distinctly remember hearing a voice out of nowhere tell me that "this is the power of controlling dreams" inside were a pair of frail looking glasses. I slipped them on and immediately felt like some kind of divinity, I turned around and saw the dark clouds and gloom of the belief creeping towards us. I sort of decided to try something, so I said, "I wish that everything was it's proper color and that the lighting was normal." Slowly the clouds dissapeared and the sky turned a natural pink as the sun started to come up. I started to walk back through the villages and towns where the believers had tried to catch us and eat us before, I decided to do something again, "I wish that the believers would no longer exist, that they would return to normal, and all the people who were killed would come back." we entered the village and the people just watched us walk down the middle of the road like we were idiots, apparently all memory of the religion was gone. At that time I decided it was time to take on the demon god but I was still a little wary of his power so I created some weapons out of thin air gave them to my friends and told them that I'd wish the god to appear over there somewhere and as soon as he appears to shoot him. I never found out whether or not the plan was successful because I woke up, but still that kind of control was awesome.

was I lucid though? I don't think I knew it was a dream, but somehow whatever I wanted would happen if I wished for it. So was it not lucidity just control? I'm confused, it was very weird but cool at the same time, it's like I turned an out of control horror film into a story where I was writing the script.

I don't really know what it was but it's been on my mind all morning and I don't know how to classify it.

      Wow, That's a freaky dream,
I think it could have been a prelucid, As your subconsious told you about "the power of your dreams"

But to me, It seems mostly control, not lucidity
Better luck for next time though

Well, I guess I was really debating whether or not it was lucid because I was actually told that it was a dream, and that I was controlling it. It's hard to replay exactly what was going through my mind when I heard the voice, I think I thought it was a dream, but that could've been the idea that when you put on these glasses you will make reality seem like a dream, I'm not too sure. It would just be like any other story where a character gained infinite powers by finding some kind of holy grail artifact.

I'm not fighting that it was lucid, I feel that it couldn't have been, but I think it was close. I think I'm going to have to ponder the significance of it, and try to learn something from it.

I really think that I should try and find those glasses again, maybe it's something to look for.

Maybe,And this is just a shot at the dark here, But maybe the glasses represent someone you know? Like a friend or someone who helps you get through things?

Or it may just be random weirdness

Well, all my closest friends wear glasses, seriously I'm about the only one in the group who has 20/20. Both my parents and my grandparents wear them too. I don't know, maybe it was a call back to the "rose colored glasses" thing.

I think it may have some significance though, I can't be too sure, it didn't look like any pair of glasses my friends wore.

Well it could be your friend's glasses I suppose.
And they don't havce to be exactly the same, they could just represent the fact that he wears glasses

I think I know exactly what you're talking about. Last night I had what I can only describe as a 'fake' lucid dream. Several dreams signs were appearing in the dream without my paying them proper attention. I think my subconscious was trying to give me a chance at realizing I was dreaming, but I failed to see what was happening and just went along with the dream.

Long story short, my family and I are at a convenience store. Several dream signs had already come and gone without my becoming lucid. Now, my parents and I are standing outside when my sister (who in WL lives a whole state away from me) walks out with a very perturbed look on her face and says, "Did anyone stop to think that maybe I wanted to get some chips?" My dad replies with, "We didn't know. You should have said something." To which she says, "It doesn't matter anyway," and turning to give me a sly look she ends with, "I'm just a dream character anyway."

Immediately I think Oh, that's right. I can fly and stuff. Almost like getting up in the morning for work only to realize that its the weekend. Pretty cool, but not Hey I'm freakin’ lucid! cool. Because, I don't think I really become lucid. I had control of the environment and such, but I wasn't really conscious of my choices. Almost like my subconscious was doing its best to imitate a lucid dream without making me lucid. I flew around, summoned a light saber and did other cool stuff. But I couldn't have told you what I had for dinner earlier that evening, or any conscious stuff like that.

Supreme and utter control with poor imitation lucidity. Kinda frustrating.
