      Usually I use WBTB technique for obtaining lucidity, but last night I tried a new technique. Usually it's hard to do WBTB when you need to wake up real early, this caused me to try other posted ideas. Last night I used self hypnosis and reversed blinking at the same time. I decided to break up this method into 3 parts: relaxation, mental programming and induction. I start by relaxing myself using RB while repeating "I am getting more and more relaxed". I count to 30 while I RB and usually I will get very relaxed very quickly (Best to stop relaxation SH when u reach theta state). Now I begin mental programming, I continue to RB but this time I repeat "I am drifting into a dream, I am fully aware of this dream". It didn't take long before I started having weird experiences such as vibrations or rapid heart beat. This was all caused by me being aware while I was drifting into a dream scene I suppose. But I repeated this technique until I finally fell asleep. When I entered the dream world I immediately assumed that I was dreaming. I then did an RC by looking at the clock, looking away then looking back. The time was different and I fully knew this was a dream. The scenery changed fast, at first I was in my living room next minute I look back it appeared as if I was in a warehouse somewhere. But probably for the first time I was aware that these changes took place as they did, I didn't just go with the flow. Usually in an LD I'll do something simple like fly. This time I tried to feel electricity sparking in my hands and imagined there was voltages surging through my arm. I look down and I see my hand covered with electrical currents. The feeling was pretty realistic, like I could actually feel the shock and pops of static. The feeling was amazing, I also tried other elements such as fire and ice. I woke up and wrote down my experience in my Dream Journal and recorded everything. I hope to do this again tonight.....good night everyone....-_- zZzZzZz

      Thats pretty sweet, but could you clear up a few of the acronyms? These aren't ordinary ones that I see everyday on the forum

      I think they are: (I'll include the obvious as well as the obscure)

      WBTB = Wake Back to Bed
      RB = Reverse Blink(ing)
      SH = Self Hypnosis
      RC = Reality Check
      LD = Lucid Dream

      Sounds like an effective way to WILD... I think I'll try tonight, as I haven't been very successful with standard WILD'ing.
