      Just Knowing your lucid

in all of my short lucid dreams so far ive just KNOWN im lucid

maybe its just that i havent had a false awakening yet but my last lucid dream i was in my yard and i knew i was lucid without proving it to myself through RC or noticing altered reality

also i cant really recall the defining moment where my brain clicked in and i realized i was dreaming

instead something just zaps on and im lucid

does this happen to anyone else?

      Hey Pcmsurf,

Im just finding my feet when it comes to lucid dreaming. Im usually like you tho it just dawns on me that im dreaming and then i gain varying degrees of control.

I have had many false awakenings so from time to time i do use RC but usually something just clicks and i know.

      Peace Sensi.

All of my lucid dreams are like that. I've never had any luck with WILD or MILD, and I never notice really strange things in my dreams. It's like suddenly grabbing hold of the steering wheel in my head, one minute I'm just coasting along then the next I'm in control and everything makes sense. DILD is the most natural way to have an LD but it's very random.. you either suddenly go lucid by means of RC or dream sign or no reason at all, or you wake up disappointed.

      heyho.

i experience the exact same thing.
i am walking around in my dream and suddenly i realize that i am dreaming.
there are no dreamsigns or RCs.. i just KNOW it.

the only difference is that i can clearly remember becoming lucid.
i even remember the dream i had before and the point in my dream when i became lucid.

      keep it up!

My first 2 LD's were triggerd by things in the dream that just were not right somehow. Just suddenly realising it is a dream.
The third took on a whole new twist for entry style ...
Had Hypnogogic imagery (at least I think thats what its called) of a house with front door open, just knew it was the doorway to an LD 8)

Seems like I never get one with any type of induction technique. I just have to give up and wait for a week or so
I've been so lazy - someone kick me.

Nearly all my LDs have been like that, too. Normally dreamsigns for me are ignored regardless of their obviousness

my spontaneous LD's are usually very short and low lucidity. Yet I always try to perform a RC.
