hey, lol, this seems like some reverse psychology, i went to bed last night thinking, i'm going to remember my dreams, if you don't already know i was giving up trying to lucid dream until my dream recall improved, but last night i had a dream which i'm not sure whether it was a lucid or not, need help sussing this one out. I was walking with a freind called jack down this road i know well, i felt asthough i already knew that i was dreaming but as i turned this corner down this small path it hit me "i am dreaming", i walked down the road with joy but i could feel the lucidity slipping away, i was excited, maybe i should have kept calm at first, its been so damn long, so i stopped and tryed to keep calm for 20 seconds, now i don't know what happened, whether i blacked out or it just skipped i don't know but thats all i remember, no control or anything. But heres the next thing, i remember it almost perfectly and i can tell you for sure that it happened in my last REM period, i always set my alarm for before my last REM period so that i can put out the intent to remember my dreams and to remember previous dream i've had over the night. Theres more, when lucid i told myself in my mind to become more lucid, and i can't get my head round this, when i was in it it felt so real that i felt asthough if i opened my other eye i would wake up, it was amazing, but when waking up it felt asthough all of it was a dream, i can't remember whether it was just a dream or whether i was really lucid, its all cool though, i got myself another small bit of inspiration to keep going, i appreciate any help. i'm going to call it a lucid dream but i'm not sure if it was. thanks guys

It sounds like you did become lucid in those few minutes, but since you were so excited, you almost lost the lucidity. It was a very good idea to calm yourself down in those twenty seconds, but it didn't seem to work.
I don't understand the idea that "if i opened my other eye i would wake up", please explain more.

Congradulations!!! I know you were becoming very discouraged when we talked. It just shows if you let your brain do what it does with just gentle suggestion it can be more effective. Anyway, I'm happy for you, that was definetly a lucid dream. Don't doubt your ability, just rest assured that with some gentle suggestion and thought, you can do wonders...

      Again congrats,

      and talk to you soon

ok well what i mean by "if i opened my other eye i would wake up", once becoming lucid i opened an eye and then because i felt so lucid i felt that if i opened my other eye it would be like waking up, i'm so happy about this, it jus shows that your brain can do the work for you, thanks for the feedback!

Oh, I understand now. Your lucidity must of been great enough to feel this! Keep going, soon you'll be able to hopefully have longer lucid dreams.
