Well, I think i've finally done it, I was dreaming last night, but at the same time I knew that I was dreaming, and watching a very bizzare line of events going on.

However, I wasnt able to take control of the dream at all, apart from perhaps change some minute thing, but perhaps this was due to the fact that I wasnt involved in the dream in my own body.

I felt like I was watching it happen like a very vivid daydream, but I was awake of being in my real body, and was like watching it through a holographic TV, seeming very real, and in depth, but still not taking any active part. I do remember some parts where I was quite confused if it was reality or not, and those time it felt less Lucid than others. But at these times of less Lucidity, I felt more like I was playing the person, and not watching it go on.

Is this a common sort of thing to happen for people experiancing their first LD, if it is even a LD at all? And what sort of action should I of taken in order to grab control fully, and bring myself into the dreamworld?

3rd person dreams are weird... i had one that made NO sense
it was about these two brothers who had horns growing out of their heads called "beetles".
one brother's snapped off and left some blood early in his life.
the other one kept growing until one day he poked it, it fell off, and he died.
      yeah.
      it made NO sense.
