First Lucid...experience

Finally last night after id say a month of trying now I had my first lucid experience. I was having an incredibly long vivid dream, something I had not had for a while. What happened was I was working in a mine. The work day ended and to go home I had to climb this like 2 mile high ladder, and ride some flying elevator to get out of there. So as im driving home in a thunderstorm (there was one actually going on outside) I almost hit someone in my car. Finally its at this point after all the wierd crap thats happened that I did a nose RC. It all seemed so real that I flipped out when I found out I was dreaming, keep in mind this is the first time a RC has ever failed for me. Soon as I got excited by the time I tried to calm down I was already slipping out of the dream and lost it, it was kind of cool though how I could see the dream slowly fading away... So I still have yet to have a lucid dream but at least I became lucid, im hoping it will happen more frequently now that its happened once. I need to learn to control my focus when becoming lucid. I also woke up in SP about 3 weeks ago and when falling into dreamstate I got excited the same way and lost it also.
