WTF? false lucid dream within a dream

ill try to sum my dream up some girl tried to steal my hat while getting in my car then she hit my car with hers i looked at her license plate and it said JBLW 43 then i tracked her down and took all the money out of her pockets then got chased around by her friends then her bodyguard punched me and i ended up in a nursery and then went to school and was really late for my class that seemed familiar *WEIRD PART* i then woke up and realized it was all a dream kind of and what i had thought was a long time was only a short while in the real world i told them that (i was awake in a resturant with family but it was a dream) i could go into a dream by saying the JBLW 43 three times i then said it to myself and went into the dream where i was at a theatre and became lucid and messed with people who were on stage and did stuff to them also i examined detail and zoomed in on things like i usually do in lucid dreams then the lucid dream ended and i was back at the restaurant and everyone knew about what to say to go into the dream so my some lady (i guess she was family) said it and we all started dreaming but not together in the same dream) anyways i went to the same lucid dream i had before back at the theatre starting out watching a movie i again went on stage and messed with some girls or something and zoomed in on things and looked at my hands then i WOKE UP IN REAL LIFE (it felt like right after the dream ended that i woke up) so i am still trying to figure out what happened Was i thinking about lucid dreaming so much in real life that I had a lucid dream inside of a dream? The lucidity did not feel the same as my previous experiences it felt more dream like even though i think i had slight control Reasons I wasnt lucid : I couldnt feel my body in the real world like in the past I could not make a bed appear in the dream world (like i had in other lucid dreams) Reasons I was lucid : I woke up after I felt the last lucid dream fade I did zooming and examined some detail I felt like i had some will to do what i wanted (but not the same as a conscious will to do things like in lucid dreams) well sorry it was long and confusing so ill basically try to put it into one sentence I was in a dream and said something that would make me have a dream and in the dream i knew i could get lucid i did this a few times then i woke up in real life

first of all, it looks like you wrote this in a mad rush because im having difficulty figuring out what you're trying to say. so you woke up in your bed and realised it was a dream, then you were in a restaurant telling your family what happened? it was probably just a false awakening and it was too vivid for you to realise it was a dream.

I've had stuff like that happen to me, but i always can tell wether im dreaming or not. You basically went Lucid in your dream, forgot that you were dreaming, and then went lucid again. I do this sorta fading out of lucidity allot, the trick is to sorta remember that were you are isn't reality, then when you want to jump back to lucidity you can.

ok i was in a dream but then woke up (not in real life) then went back into the dream which was lucid but i dont think it was a real lucid dream sorry its so confusing i cant really explain more than it was a dream within a dream about lucid dreaming

sorry about the confusion i wrote this about 1 minute after waking up and being confused as hell about my dream

Something like that just happened to me a few nights ago. Your subconcious is using lucid dreaming as a gimmick to keep you from going completely lucid. In my dream I was exploring some dungeon and I came upon some ancient civilization's buildings. One of them had a machine that would send you right into a lucid dream. So I sat down in it and I suddenly appeared in the same room and I could see my body laying in the machine. I had all my dream powers and I thought of myself as awake in a dream. After a few minutes I woke up and I was back in the machine in the dungeon and non-lucid. But the point is I was never really lucid, I was just using the idea of lucid dreaming and dream powers as part of my dream plot. If I were really lucid I would have been outside the plot.
