Thread: I have no idea what this was...but it scared me to death...

Ok, i don't think that this was a lucid dream, but here's what happened...

I was looking for two keys, one gold and one silver. I walked into my room and went to the window. I looked behind one of the blinds and saw the silver key, i reached out to get it but then a voice that was coming directly from my right side said that I must get both keys at the same time...suddenly i felt a great deal of fear, and without turning around i kew something had entered the room and i knew what it looked like...it was something about my height, yet it was wearing all black and dark green, with a black vail over its face. It quickly was identified as, "Enemy" in my mind, and i knew it had the other key. The voice came to me again and said, "sometimes you need to see yourself from your enemies point of view.
I woke up and i realized i was crying, sweating profusely, and breathing heavily (i was in my bed)...i had my eyes closed, but when i opened them, i saw myself as i appeared in the dream, standing over me, breathing heavily, all i saw was the chest and head...i started to scream and i closed my eyes again, and when i opened them again he was still there. I closed my eyes one last time and sat up...he wasnt there anymore and i was still crying and sweating and breathing heavily...all of which i was very aware of during the vision or whatever it was...
I am so confused to what happened...I know i wasn't dreaming but i don't know what could have happened....it felt like i hadn't slept at all i was so drained of energy....someone please explain!

Hmmm. Are you having any troubles in your life or something? It sounds like your subconcious is trying to give you a message. Not that I believe all this stuff that I say be it sounds like one of those "Your enemy holds the key to your problems" kind of deal, literally.

wow... thats unusual. it would appear to be a very direct message from your concious, but most messages are coded and need to be interpreted to be understood. (now im not making any accusations or anything) but some drugs apparantly can give you VERY vivid + strange dreams. and being lucid means you realise that it was a dream + you have some control over the environment. but for the most part im just as stumped as you . did you do any kind of meditation or induction techniques to alter your dreams before you went to bed?

Are you sure you were awake when you yourself in the perspective you had in your dream and saw your enemy? It might make sense it being a false awakening...

Otherwise it would be some sort of vision which is a really strange thing and I have no real experience with anything like that...

Also, what Squall sense seems to make a lot of sense. In dreams literal things are depicted in such way.

For example(I saw this in psychoanalisis class): A guy dreams of the sun (in spanish it is "Sol") and a dice (in spanish it is called "Dado"). Put those two together and its "Soldado"(Soldier). The patients brother had gone to war and she was very worried about him. This tells us how the unconscious portrays literal words and messages as pictures and stories...

If it was hostile it would have caused harm to you right away. It seemed to be giving you advice. I would guess there is no reason to fear it.

Ive had the exaughtion thing happen to me before but it only happens when I have verry realistic dreams, I'm pretty sure what happen two you was a double false awakening, but your mind was still set on scaring the living shit out of you.
