Last night I had my first lucid dream since joining. Woohoo and whatnot. I woke up for no apparent reason about 4 1/2 hours after going to sleep, walked around some, then went back to bed, repeating various forms of "I will remember to realize that I am dreaming." At some point during the dreams that followed, I did a reality check by looking at my hand and noticed that it had 6-7 fingers and that some of them were much shorter than the others. I repeated this a few times, then became aware and proceeded to do what I wished. I can't remember the exact flow of events (even though I wrote in my Journal), but among them were:

I focused on wanting to meet someone, then immediately heard them call my name and turned to see them behind me.

I wanted to go somewhere private (perhaps a sign that I was not 100% aware of my dreaming state, since privacy isn't really necessary when the people surrounding you are imaginary), so I looked at a blank wall, wanted a door to be there, looked away, then looked back and a door was there.

Upon opening the door I created I saw that the room within it was incredibly small, so I shut the door, willed it to be larger, then opened it and saw that it hadn't grown. I tried again and succeeded to make it much longer, but not wider. I think this might have something to do with me noticing that I was trying to create a room between two other rooms, and that there might not be any space between them.

I wanted someone to go away so I used telekinesis to throw them into the corner.

I wanted someone to "pause" so I first willed them to pause and that didn't work, so I held up two fingers like the "pause" || symbol and that didn't work, so I finally pulled a remote out of my pocket, pointed it at them, and pressed the "pause" button, and that worked. I think I lost much of my lucidity during this.

I looked up at a clock and watched seconds tick by (at the same rate as they would in reality), then worried about how long my dream would last.

I wrote down a lot of other details (filled an entire page) but most of them were from after I lost lucidity (not sure exactly where and when that happened).

Anyways, I owe this accomplishment to all I've learned during my time here, hopefully I'll have many more. :]

Congrats man, the first time rocks. The remote was a cool idea, i will try it next time if i remember. Try rubbing your hands together as you want something to happen, it does wonders for me.

Actually, I did that shortly after becoming lucid, can't say if it did anything for me since I've never seen what happens if I don't. Thanks both of you. :]

That was a great first LD!

You stayed in the dream quite a while and were able to experiment with many things.

Congrats. I hope you have many more!

Yes that is quite impressive. I wish I had that much control.
