Right on, man - totally agree with you there. Lucid dreaming can teach us all sorts of things by giving us the ability to experience something without having to actually do it in real life. All the guilty pleasures without the risk

Anyways, i've been keeping a dream journal & doing regular reality checks throughout the day.[/b]

Excellent practice - hard to keep up for some of us sometimes

I've also been using a subliminal messaging program on my computer, which is really good.[/b]

Yes that is the wonderful thing about it I think there is so much you can discover about yourself too, as your subconscious mind knows more about you then your conscious mind does.

Yes it can be difficult at times, but I've felt so determined to follow it all through that i'll force myself if i have to!

It's a free subliminal messaging program called subliminal blaster, if you google it you will find their website easily. You can select from a list of messages that you want to display or write your own. there is a section called 'control your dreams' which has some very good messages but I added some of my own too. It runs while you're doing what ever you're doing, & uses a minimal amount of CPU so it doesn't slow your pc down. It's very useful for LD & many other things too, like dealing with depression, weight loss, quitting smoking etc. I believed it's helped immensly in my LD success. It's worth trying out.

Yeah, I've only had one lucid dream and it was totally amazing. I've been keeping a dream journal and the recurring elements are helping me in reality. The cool thing about it is that we're tapping into our subconscious. I'm in a band, and what I've begun to do is write a concept song/album/whatever about my lucid dreams and my dream journal's elements. Kind of a personal creative quest of mine, but my reasoning for it is exactly what you said MarcJR.

My first lucid dream is posted somewhere else on this forum. I didn't go into too much detail, but it was pretty wicked. I can't wait to have another one. I never thought something like this was possible.

Yes it really is the most incredible thing! & it's one thing reading about it, but then to experience it, for me it's been life changing.

I agree with what you're saying about tapping into our subconscious. The possibilities are endless.

I've been in a few bands myself, for the past year i've been going solo (although i've joined another band recently), & i've recorded 5 albums so far. I have three other projects i'm working on right now, and funnily enough, one of them is the same idea as yours. It's all about dreams, LD, mainly the feelings, emotions & the colours you experience in them. Rather than tell a story lyrically with each track I write, i'm telling the story through sounds. It's one of the most exciting musical projects i've done, & I have LDing to thank for it!

Thanks, you too. I'll be on this forum again I'm sure with some updates on the project and anymore LDs I might have. It really is life-changing. I thought it was a sham at first but it's cool that I can experience something like this now, especially since I can apply it to my music and such. Is any of your bands' music on the internet? Oh yes, I think it is a great source of inspiration for anything creative.

Currently my bands music isn't on the net, we're planning on setting up a myspace page when we've recorded some tracks. I do however have a myspace for my own solo music, which you can find Here

Crazy & experimental is good in my book alot of my music is very experimental too. I shall have a listen to your music anyway, let me know what you think of mine if you fancy having a listen.
