      First "full fledged" LD

I just woke up from the greatest LD I've had, ever. I slipped in and out but I knew I was dreaming. I did one thing wrong (because I believe I was semi-concious during the experience. as in, hovering on the brink).

I was sleeping in bed when I was first in the dream, looking up at the walll. Nothing big, nothing at all. Rolled over to look at my monitor, the one that I am typing on right now. It was off and it was the wrong shade and version of monitor. It was my old monitor! This tipped me off to dreaming so without thinking I jumped up onto thebed and looked around.

First, to make sure I wasn't completely insane, I walked over to the wall and did the old "hand through object test." It was something I did the first time I was lucid that seemed to stick (I put my fingers through my other hand). So my hand stuck through the wall. I then felt the scene cleaning up, but not in the way I wanted, it was as if I was waking up, although I was (and am) in a completely dark room. So I closed my eyes and spun a few times, knowing that I would end up at another spot or, perhaps another spot of the room.

Oddly enough, when I opened my eyes I looked up to the ceiling and said "Hmm, lets fly." Why? I don't know. I couldn't get it at first, I thought maybe the whole experience was some odd trick on my mind, and nealy ready to give up. I said "UP!" nothing. "UP!" a little lift "UP!" up to the cieling and just as I braced for the ceiling I said Up one final time and was in what looked to be a compact version of my attic. I heard my own voice talking to me, asking my what I wanted to do and I said "I want to see someone." essentially. I 'woke up.'

Of course, I hadn't woken up, and even if I had, in the hazy dream (which is how I made it by falsifying the clearing up) I was back in bed and this time I was ready for action. I repeated all the steps from before and this time instead of having difficulty flying, I had difficulty keeping myself level enough with the ground.

I gave a thought of a "beautiful room." which made my room a wooden floored version of the same room with less inside of it and a beautiful bed. On the television was a woman, the woman I had asked for more then once now. It was kind of goofy because I was going to the bed, sitting down and writhing (for some reason this was one thing I couldn't control at first, but everytime I started slipping, I came back and was able to) And then the lady appeared before me. A beautiful black haired goddess with intellect I could 'sense' a mile away. Amazed I had done this myself I guess it was enough to wake me up because that was all there was.

I did know I was awake when I awoke (if that makes sense) the third time because I looked at my hand and it was COMPLETELY clear as day. SO the HAZY part of the dream was gone. I was awake. It wasn't cool to say tht least. I wanted to stay a bit longer, but I also seemed to realize in the dream my time was running low as after 2 false awakenings in a nap, the LD was ready to end.

To say the least, having had two previous experiences, this was the greatest of all. I have to conquer that fear of the clearing up and I think that the not-being able to fly was a result of the fear of realization. Other then that, it was wonderful and now, instead of being an educated skeptic, I truly believe -I- can do this. The oddest thing about all this is I've NEVER taken a light cue as a sign of a lucid dream, it's never been something out of the ordinary other then color. First it was the odd color of the 'lights' before me, then the odd color of the person I was seeoings and now the off color of the monitor I was looking at. Seems a sign no? Also the monitor and desk stayed in all three incarnations of the dream world.

More in my journal. By the way, leave tips for increasing awareness (anything that seemed like a fear in this, point out, etc)

albeit my lucid experience is very limited, but in every single LD I have had, except one, every verbal command I made worked instantly.. I suppose because I knew it was going to happen because I believed I had absolute control.

The one dream I had no control was kind of funny... I was stuck, like my holy body was frozen, and I was forced to stare at a corner of my room, I couldn't even change my focus... so for about 30 seconds I was like this screaming over and over "LUCIDITY NOW! LUCIDITY NOW!" I laughed after waking up

I can't say I've noticed anything that is always 'off wall' in my dreams, but I do WILDs for LDs
